Post by ST Dragon »

For "The Last Ninja Series" AMIGA fans, it looks like "The Last Ninja" is coming out for the X-Box:

I was never a fan of the original series, but with multiple paths to complete a level, stealth mode, Ninjas, demons, and an evil Shogun, this looks like a better transition than Ninja Gaiden (X-BOX).

Graphics aren't as good so far...

Neat-o. I always thought "Last Ninja" was more of a C64 thing though.
The biggest unanswered question is where is the money? [1CCS]

Yeah, but if you take out isometric view, what else remains of what made The Last Ninja? it becomes just the "nth 3D action game starring a ninja".

According the gamefaqs, the xbox Last Ninja has been cancelled. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/data/561376.html Those articles are a bit old. The game doesn't sound too interesting. It sounds like a typical Ninja Game with the Last Ninja name tacked on.

The world can never have enough Ninja Gaiden clones.

Alas, if only a 5% of them was half the quality of Ninja Gaiden, the world would be a better place.

Regardless, give me Super Shinobi on MD and I'm set. :D

^ Hehe, aye. The sad thing is that most fans of the Xbox Ninja Gaiden never played the NES trilogy.

This game keeps popping up in almost every new consoles release list. Gamecube had it in it's list, Xbox, and I noticed the DS has it in it's list too.

I seriously doubt this game coming out on any of the new gaming platforms.
Last Ninja was an awesome game on the C64, where it originated, but I think we'll just have to remember our good times with these titles and give up hope about a new version. It would probably shatter our memmories of the original by being totally outdated by today's standards.

The new Last Ninja game have appeared and dissapeared from various release lists and platforms for several years now, just take a look at the LN4 section of The Last Ninja Archives.
