Dead Sega ST-V Board?

Post by Svovl »

Hi all,
I just received a Sega ST-V board and hoped to play some Soukyugurentai today
However I can't get it to boot.
When I connect it to my NAC (with or without a cartridge) I just get a black screen. The green LED on the board does light up however.
I'm not even able to get into the service menu by holding down SW1 on the board while turning the power on, simply no signal.

I have tried to both clean the JAMMA connectors thoroughly and toyed with cranking the voltage on the PSU up. I experimented with voltages between 5v and 5.25v.
I have also tried to connect it to another cabinet (Egret 2 at a friends house) to see if it was something about my PSU, but still no luck.
I can't spot any broken legs or burned components and the guy I bought the board from tested it working right before he shipped it from UK to me in Denmark.

Does any of you have some suggestion on what I can try to do?

Fixed the problem!

I discharged all capacitors on the board and now it works.
Could have been static that build up on the board while it was transported...
