These are LCD computer monitors with DVI and 15 Pin Din sockets from computers. No A/V connexion for consoles.

You can rotate pretty much any LCD monitor with no ill effects (in fact a lot of recent models have swivel bases that can be rotated.) The stuff referred to here appears to be an implementation of software used to rotate Windows (in most cases, you won't even need that, because nVidia and ATI build this functionality into their drivers.) My Dell 2001FP not only does this, but also has built-in composite and S-video ports as well.

A note for anyone who's looking for a cheap used monitor to shmup with: my Samsung 753DF 17" CRT tates fine, and they're probably inexpensive used.
