That's the "Rest of the World" page - i.e. the page for the PS3 PAL release.
You have to change that drop down (under "login") to "The Americas" and then navigate to this page.
It's a terrible web page design because URLs will not work unless you have the "correct" cookie value.

Hm, thanks for the tip.
Assuming this is accurate RSG is running a pretty tight schedule for this thing, considering there's no ESRB rating nor any Gamestop pre-order page ready yet...well, so long as they don't pull a Phantom Breaker on us I'll deal with it, heh.
EDIT: I stand corrected, the ESRB has rated Under Defeat HD, though the RSG page doesn't show it yet. Still eager to plunk down cash for this at a physical store if I can, though.
Sooooo apparently Under Defeat HD is on EU PSN #1

Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition
Price: £29.99/39.99 Euros (Around $50)
Anyone get it? Or is this another one of SCEE's mess ups as I haven't seen it yesteday while browsing the store >_>;
Just received an email from ShopTo - order's been shipped out!
Can't wait to get stuck into this on Friday. Hope the leaderboards are operational, too. They were a bit dodgy for the first week or so with Akai Katana; scores wouldn't upload, or high ones would be overwritten by lower ones, etc. (Actually, I think the latter still happens!)
Is there any word on brick-and-mortar availability for the US release? I'm still having trouble finding any physical store listings for UDHD...should I expect to have to buy it online?
I've only had one go with it so far, but it's bloody huge and slower the standard chopper (about the same speed as the VKL7.04). Its 'ground' shot hasn't changed (although it might be slightly stronger), but its 'air' shot consists of some pretty devastating homing missiles. The three options are unchanged, too. It's a very powerful ship, but I'm not sure I'd use it in a 1CC attempt.
Edit: changed the description slightly. I thought the missiles came from one of the options at first. BTW, can the VKL7.04 not get any score multipliers at all? Does it simply score more anyway, or something?

I got it this morning in the post very fast delivery from Amazon. Loving arcade mode, I have a few questions where is the letter from G.rev? and how many songs are on the music cd?. When i ripped it to Xbox 360 hdd it was only six songs. Which is the best helicopter to use?. Thank you.

That is correct. The CD only contains the New Order sound track - not the originals.

I suspect it's the original one if you are playing for score given that anything destroyed by the option gets a x2 multiplier. Basically only destroy immediate threats and soften up the more hardened targets yourself - let the option do the brunt of the work. As the VKL7.04(V)W doesn't have options I can't see a way to catch up in scoring. Also people have have reported a slower movement which could make navigating the bullet curtains in later stages a bit tricky. No idea about the third helicopter that I have seen in the trailers but I would suspect that it is similarly handicapped to the VKL7.04(V)W. Why don't you let us know after you have tried it out.
The new chopper can make huge chunks of the game a lot easier, if you're comfortable using a slower craft (and can get over how comically enormous it is). It also has options, so the leaderboards might end up skewed towards this one. Perhaps not, though - the homing missiles can make it harder to set up good option shots, especially as they don't always go for the target you expect them to...
Thank you Hydroglox for the information i didn't know about the x2 multiplier for the first helicopter. I have found the 4th helicopter the big red one the best so far it feels powerful. I am going to need to watch some replays on YT to get the hang of this.

Sounds like that would also translate to a huge hit box (being a rectangle it takes some getting used to) which could spell trouble in stage (1-3) and beyond. Those add-ons could be good to pass some time until you have unlocked infinite continues - or whatever you need to get to (1-5). Then you can try all of them in practice mode (with sufficient rank) in the later stages to find out whether or not they are even a viable option in (1-4) and (1-5) (I'm assuming at least "normal" difficulty).

So far I haven't found anything as useful as the Insanity DVD that shipped with the Japanese limited edition - language barrier notwithstanding. However Hydeux's 1-sissy is an excellent starting point regardless. 1-sissy Under Defeat (Hydeux, shmupemall.com, English)
I haven't had any trouble weaving between bullets with any of the ships, so far - hopefully their hitboxes are all around the same size. I'll experiment with the new one a bit more.

What's the point, I thought I've read specifically from RSG_Spoonparty that the EU port is gonna be RL'd.
I could've missed something, but I thought it was only coming out digitally on 360 for the US. PS3 is coming at retail (since it's up for pre-order), but I've yet to see anywhere that's offering the US 360 version at retail.
When face with a decision of going hard copy and digital, I always go for the physical media (except on PC where I got use to having my library on steam). So if it's not coming out here at retail and the EU one is region free, that's what I'll pick up.

Made a quick recording of stage 1+2 last night. When you get this, adjust the sound options because everything is jacked up too high and gets walled/clipped constantly - sounds much better at 80/80/80.
