Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

That guy was awesome. I've only read three of his books... should read more. Cosmos & Pale Blue Dot made the basics of astronomy and physics so easy to grasp.

Happy birthday Carl, and may you have billions! and Billions! more :)

I need to sit down and watch all of the Cosmos series, as well as read Cosmos and his other books again. One of the finest public academics this nation has ever seen.

Which was the third?
Through the Valley of Death in Billions and Billions hits hard.

P.S. He never said Billions and Billions until, well, Billions and Billions was written. :P

I'll watch the "Floaters and Hunters" clip of Cosmos in his honor. (I always felt the Slylandro from Star Control II had been inspired by it somehow)

No. I feel sure it may have been in reference to evidence for extraterrestrial civilizations. :)

He hallucinated, too!

Demon Haunted World, which was obviously different subject matter. Anyone recommend any other ones?
