90% of MVS carts won't pass 100 bucks most places you look (ebay, private dealers...) with the typical exceptions... and for zed blade especially, 190 bucks seems quite rediculous... I would say 50 USD tops.
FYI, theres some dude selling a copy right this minute on ebay which is started at 17 bucks canadian with no bidders. mind you theres 6 days left. zed blade isn't an expensive or sought-after cart, as far as I know.

A lot. I think its the system with more gamesLoneSage wrote:Dude, you've got to share your list. I wonder how many MSX games made itShatterhand wrote: I think its the only Neo-Geo game that made to my top 150 games of all time I made one day when I was really bored
As for Zed Blade, how much does that usually go for on MVS? I saw a guy selling a complete (or maybe near complete) kit of it on neo-geo.com for $190! I had always thought it was a common game for a few years.

Alpha Mission II, lovely armor selection, bit of a strategic vert. shmup with great graphics and music. Air space under control get back 100%.
Last Resort, relentless beauty, nice twist with the pod/force, very strong one more go factor.
Pulstar. Brilliant.
Not played any others but really wan't TSS and Blazing Star.

my favourite:
Aero Fighters 3: good graphics, good sound, good playability. And in this game there are many interesting secrets (multiple boss, special guest...)
Blazing Star: excellent graphics and sound, excellent scoring system.
Last Resort: very good background like Akira, very good graphics.
Pulstar: R-type II evolution with neo geo super graphics. Hard game to finish. Very hard to play for high score after 2.000.000/6.000.000.
Strikers 1945+: psykio excellent experiment.
Viewpoint: incredible graphics, ultra sound, excellent playability. Infinite secrets in this game, the way for 5.000.000pts is very dangerous and hard. My favourite.

In case anyone wonders: The composer on Zed Blade is Manabu Namiki/Santaruru, the one behind Battle Garegga, DOJ, Mushihime, Ketsui. The composer on Viewpoint is Sizlla (Sizilla perhaps) Gainsbourough (again, don't trust my spelling please), who also did a remix of "Armored Green" on the Ketsui OST ("Taxidista Outopias").
"The only desire the Culture could not satisfy from within itself was one common to both the descendants of its original human stock and the machines [...]: the urge not to feel useless."

I only have Pulstar, Blazing Star, and Viewpoint for MVS.
My favourite is Pulstar, but sometimes depending on my mood I'll throw in Blazing Star.
I have a kind of love-hate relationship with Viewpoint, the level design blows me away each time I play it, but frustrating difficulty probably also sends my blood pressure through the roof.
I'd really like to get my hands on a copy of Last Resort one of these days too..

I think the system is shit for shooters. I can't pick a single one that I like. Having played the three other Strikers games, I'm especially shocked to see Plus get any love at all. It's an absolute piece of shit.MichiyoNoShiroIV wrote:I think neo Shmups are average at best.
To be fair, I'd like to give Tomaday another go. It at least seemed a little bit interesting.

Alpha Mission 2 is second best i would say followed by blazing star. aero fighters 2, Last Resort

Would you mind explaining exactly what you think makes Strikers an "absolute piece of shit."PaCrappa wrote:I think the system is shit for shooters. I can't pick a single one that I like. The only one I own is Sonic Wings 3, and I enjoy it quite a bit, however it's mostly just boss battles. This would be alot more enjoyable with some longer stages. There's also something with the power-up system which I don't understand, for instance you tend to lose your max-level after awhile for no apparent reason...

have you played all of them? have you played iron clad? judging from your expression i doubt it.. but to be honest neo is not best system for shmups, but it has some very good shmups. calling it shit just doesn't seem right to mePaCrappa wrote:There are plenty of great games for the NG. It's just the shooters that suck. The last one I could stand was Blazing Star and now even that is on the ol' chopping block.
Have you played the first Last Blade much? That one is pure gold. And I also generally dislike SNK's fighting games.
