Yeah. Pages 85-88 are 30D, and then they are 50D. Honestly, the difference in picture quality between the two isn't that much better. It's got a higher ISO range, but honestly, I would say other than the clearly better screen, the differences are minimal.

If you want to see results w/ the camera, check out this Flickr feed. A fellow poster at a forum, I met him once briefly in Tokyo. As you can tell, he travels a lot, and I know he's been on the 30D for ages. His first and last pages are 30D photos, so my guess is so is everything in between. And that's 623 pages currently. One of his photos (from Easter Island I believe) was even published in National Geographic.

Thanks for posting those comparisons. To be honest, I much prefer the natural (unprocessed) look. You have a photographer's eye, maybe you missed your true calling ;)

Yeah, guess we'll never know. One day when I get all my ducks in a row I'd like to combine some type of a photo/video project w/ my other hobbie I've had since a kid: music. I only DJ now, but it would be nice to bring them all together. It would be better to simply have the time to do that.

It's painful getting a good scene, but out of focus. Was that a friend, or some random shot?

Random shot :(
I just walked into coffee shop, saw the girl, and missed it D:

I really should find money and buy af prime.

But i still not sure about angle. Should i go for 28? or 35? for streets. 50 can be too narrow due the crop factor.

If you're on a crop, I'd go 35. There's not a ton of difference in 28, but I find 35 more usable on a full frame (if you ever go that way). I've been teetering back and forth on what 35mm to get, and the answer is: wait. Sigma is going through a rebranding, and they've got a new 35mm cumming out soon. You can even buy a dock and tweak the focus settings in the firmware at home. That tells me that they're listening to their customers. Canon doesn't seem to be great at that.

Thanks, dude. Will be happy to see what you come up with!
Did I mention some dick hole broke down the door of the hotel I was in and stole my 5d2 (w/ lens & flash) while leaving 5 film cameras and a laptop? Albeit, the laptop was pretty ancient, and by that standard, the film cameras from the stone age, but still.

Like, maybe he unloaded on it? Haha. He actually left a hat there (a really shitty one) which the popos now have. Thus far, no hits that I know of.

Word, thanks. Delightful place to walk around w/ a camera. The only people that preferred not to be photographed were a couple of lesbians intimately rolling around in the morning, and they were quite polite about it... just said they had done enough photos, and wanted to just chill as it was the end of the week. Most other people really get into it.

I was thinking maybe some personal information to id him. If you found my notebook, you'd figure out who I am pretty quickly. You'd also likely figure out who you are, I suppose.

Well, he'd have had to hacked into it, as it was locked. I got the impression he was in and out within about 15 seconds. Just like sex these days.
