Hello ! Great work about inserts !

Can you tell me where did you cut the shockbox for it to fit ?

And , my Ibara PCB is different from the mushi one ( like VGA connector on side ) , does thoses PCB also fit in Shockboxes ? Cause this looks really big , adding antistatic bag ... no ?

My mushi has the Vga style plug also and it fits ok. I cut the boxes myself... it's not overly difficult but a sharp unused exacto knife is recommended.

Thx. I was asking " where " did you cut the box , cause it seem that if you cut it , it wont close ( i mean, stay close while shaking for exemple , so it wont protect anything like for mvs ? )

It'll close just as well as it did before you cut it. Don't cut it any further than the original borders. You may need to trim a little extra off the top but that's about it.

They stay closed fine and remain sturdy.

I'm packing it up along with Ibara, and it's going on loan to drboom up in Chicago for a few weeks. No cab in Texas, so I figure someone may as well get some enjoyment from it while I'm away.

Are you using the antistatic bag from the kit in there? They're massive. Only made aware of these by the other thread and it's a great idea, but as a few others pointed out (2 years ago), those boxes are a static nightmare. I was going to make open sided enclosures for my Cave PCBs because I don't like putting wear and tear on the boxes. I'm not that precious over boxes myself, but should I ever come to sell them other people are - it's not good financial sense to spoil them.

Yeah I use the anti static bubble wrap bags. But I cut the inside also so the card board is exposed. It fits. But you have to get a smooth cut, especially on the corners or the bags will snag on it.

Sorry I have fallen off on these. I am recently single after 8 years as of Feb. and also started a new job in Mar. So I have been going out alot more and been out and about alot during the week and weekends. Have rediscover the wonders of alcohol.
