If you can no miss to that point in stage three the food really boosts your chain instead. The life boost is almost negligable otherwise, a hit or two. I guess that could be ther difference though.

I wish I still had time for games.

That hit or two can really make a difference. I usually get to stage 3 w/ about 2-3 hits, so that food item would put me back up to the "no hit" area health-wise. I need to clear the way first and THEN shoot the damn statue... going for the statue first ain't so smart.

Once again, I got fucked on the stage 3 health item, but still managed to do better than usual. Almost no-hitted stage 5 boss, and choked at the end. Also choked on Stage 4 boss. :/ Oh, well. Next time.

Took a break from playing DoDonPachi, and played this for a bit. God, I suck at this chaining thing and this game.

I don't know what the fuck happened, but I did it.

I've actually gotten close to doing it again (2CC'ed it the next day). I can do decent w/ Shishin as well, but not Kosame. Her Shikigami is too weak and I get plowed.

The health items saved me though. I got both on the spider part of Stage 6, so I was at full health at that point. THat definitely helped. I had to use a lot of bombs on stage 6 as well.

I'm giving ESPRade some play time again now, and am finding it nowhere near as fun as this. The bullets and hitbox just don't seem nearly as user friendly.

yeah, i never was a big esp rade fan myself. also i love how every guwange pattern has a distinct sound, that helps getting in the "flow". why doesn't cave do this more often.
