kind of got burnt out on shmups after 10
years of playing nothing else except for a
bit of sf2 turbo and grand theft autos.
anyways i'm just wondering if anyone is
playing the dayz mod? its a multiplayer
sandbox zombie apocalypse survival game for
arma 2(a standalone is meant to be coming out
before the end of the year)

the mod is still in alpha (very very buggy)
but is so immersive you can forgive a lot of
the glitches and bugs so just be prepared to
put up with a few very unfair instadeaths.
the map is massive and you can repair/drive/
around in various vehicles such as
cars,heli's. make bases and store extra items
in tents.kill animals for sustenance and to
replenish your blood (ala snake eater)you
also have to drink and eat fairly often so
your character doesn't die of thirst or
hunger.
the last time i felt so tense/scurred playing
a game was silent hill on ps1 due to never knowing when a player interaction is going to happen or how it will play out(a lot of people playing shoot on sight even if you are unarmed) .also it is very easy to die and once dead you will lose all your weapons and stuff unless you can get to your old dead body quick enough.
anyway if this sounds interesting to you i would reccomend watching some of FRANKIEonPCin1080p's vid series on youtube cos they really show the best of the game.
