Japan & radioactive products!
Re: Japan & radioactive products!
The barometer I'm using is whats happening to the actual workers that were there during and after the disaster. If they're all fine (which barring one - they still seem to be) I think I've still got at least a few more decades of life in me. But yeah - GP is right. So much sensationalism and disinformation from both sides. You just have to keep an eye on hard numbers and make what you believe to be the best decision based on that. Yeah, I may exposed to miniscule amounts of radioactivity here but I'm less likely to be murdered by an MS13 gang member than back at home.

I think ideally we're all immediately excited about having news from non-state/corporate sources, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be less critical of non-mainstream sources. I guess my question is still on the table--do you have other sources or is youtube the main source of information?DEL wrote:As for Youtube, its one of the only places you might....just....find non state-sponsored/nuclear industry sponsored err....truth. Dare I say that horrible word?
Just to make clear, my skepticism toward media is pretty widespread. I don't trust very much of it, so this isn't just a slight against youtube--though it is pretty goddamn horrible as far as a source of reliable information.
