Any good sites for fan-made 2D shooters left?

Post by PepsimanVsJoe »

I got the following email in reference to a site I did awhile back that didn't last very long. http://www.angelfire.com/ri/returns/nippon.html

-----------
"I've got a couple of questions for you. First, the Nippon shooter archive listed at the bottom of your news page - I know it's gone down, but do you know how to get in contact with the original owner? I'm interested in perhaps offering some webspace to get that fantastic website back up. Also, do you have links to any of these fan-made games, or are they just reviews? I'm with a company that's trying to make a new full-fledged shmup and we're interested in perhaps sponsoring an online database of shmups as an early PR move.

Anyway, please let me know if you would be interested in being involved with this project or if you know anyone that would. At this point I'm just looking for interest and I'm not making any official offers - just trying to find out what's out there. Thanks for the help!

Now I figured this forum more than any other would be helpful to this guy and his company. I'm obviously not as involved as I once was(Especially if you noticed my "quitting shmups sale")

This would be a good time to put together as many websites for nippon shooters as possible so hopefully we can finally have a decent dedicated website for these games. Granted as the email states nothing is certain but it never hurts to help out a fellow shmup fan.
