Limbo (PSN, XBLA, Steam) has pretty awesome gravity reversal parts.

Not sure if racing games counts, but Rollcage also lets you drive on the ceiling.

If Rollcage counts, They Need To Be Fed sortof counts. It's 2D but technically you can walk around objects till you're upside-down and back.

Most Sonic games that came after Sonic 3 & Knuckles have some stage where the main gimmick is gravity reversal.

Also, the Prince from Prince of Persia 2008 seems to be able to run short distances on the ceiling for no other reason than that it s incredibly cool.

Wonder Boy III: Dragon's Trap (Dragon's Curse) if memory serves me right... mouse man ran on the ceiling at one point I'm sure.

Not sure if this happens in Monster World though.

Spider: The Video Game lets you crawl on the underside of shelves.

It's also really really good, despite the title making it seem like shovelware.

At this point, I amazed nobody has mentioned Irem's Metal Storm for the NES yet, a run/gun with gravity flipping as it's central mechanic. Evil hard in typical Irem fashion too. 8)

First post. ;]

Reminds me, there's a bit of ceiling walking late in The Battle of Olympus (FC/NES).

You get a power partway through both Kid Dracula games that lets you walk on the ceiling for a few seconds.

I think Surprise Attack by Konami had anti grav sections too.

Yeah, it does have some upside-down sections (I don't think it's anti-grav so much as reversed gravity, and maybe magnetic boots).

Metroid: Other M (I can't remember the mechanics' details, just the "look and feel" of that part).
I do feel like replaying it on Hard, but couldn't find a couple of upgrades last time I tried and looking up a guide would tarnish the part of Metroid's heritage I cherish. It's complicated; I feel Super Metroid without any external tips would be broken (Another World way), but Other M gets the balance right in this respect (a bit like Ico "fixed" the Another World action adventure formula).

The way out is cut off

I played Super Metroid without hints. I'm not averse to looking up a select few item locations, though, because running and shooting at walls is lol silly. Most of these were pretty thoughtfully placed, though, and some were direct references to item locations in the original Metroid (especially in the first area).

Fair point on the boots vs anti grav. I think with regards to Super Metroid you couldn't 100% the game without looking stuff up. It encourages people to pool resources to unlock everything or as you said, you just explore everywhere and end up shooting at every wall which can get a little dull. Well it did for me back in the day.

Prey.

Can't really think of anything else. Prey was fun though, even if it was a little too forgiving.

Dustforce is a pretty great game that lets you run on the ceiling for short distances. The movement in that game has a really great flow to it.
