To be honest, I'd much rather have console ports of all those awesome licensed Williams tables, like Twilight Zone, Star Trek TNG, Indiana Jones etc. Too bad that those won't happen.
At least we got Medieval Madness as part of the Williams Collection for PS360 (which is a must-have game, by the way, buy it now if you don't own it already)...

The $400,000 target seems rather ambitious, but then again, I have no clue how many fans of digital pinball there are.

No, I didn't. And apparently only Twilight Zone is funded at this time, a kickstarter for Star Trek TNG is still running:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/106 ... generation

$41,897
pledged of $45,000 goal
11 days to go

The Pinball Arcade Kickstarter for Twilight Zone ended at $77,000.

I have these on PS1. Really solid bouncy physics. I didn't find the tables all that appealing though. Maybe I should give them another try. That's cool that they got Pat Lawlor. Still, I'd be surprised if they get $400,000.

I agree; the way Pinball Arcade does kickstarters for separate tables with a goal of $45,000 each has a much better chance of succeeding than this.

I had most of these back in the day, and although they did a really good job with the physics on these, I always felt that the rulesets (particularly on Big Race USA) were overly complicated, and it made the games hard to get into.

But you DO know Pinball Arcade, right? If you enjoyed MM on Williams Collection, wait till you play the Pinball Arcade version - much better physics and nicer graphics.

PA is out on PS3/360, iOS, Android, Mac, Vita, and coming to PC. Highlights include Theatre Of Magic, Tales Of The Arabian Nights, Cirqus Voltaire, Funhouse, Ripleys Believe It Or Not, Creature From The Black Lagoon... and you get two new tables each month.

By the way, I funded this Kickstarter with 100 bucks, I love Pat Lawlors style and the tech demo on the Kickstarter page looks jawdropping. It IS a very high goal, but they're paying Lawlor, artist John Youssi and the Silverball tream for a full year of professional work.

These guys also did Metroid Prime Pinball on DS and the brilliant Pinball Pulse: Ancients Beckon on DSi, both very good games.

I don't even really play pins but this sounds awesome. Retail release? I'll pick it up!

So excited for this. I hope there's no framerate bugs this time. And the leaderboard works. I wish Pinball Arcade got it together. They were so close.

No, downloadable. Should be available for just about everything though (I play it on my iPad currently.)

Yes I know it. Pinball Arcade is by the same people who made the Gottlieb and Williams Collections first. I just didn't know they were now working on emulating tables based on licensed stuff, that is very cool.
However, it sucks very much that there is no retail release. DRM'd DD + DLC FTL.

Steam would probably be better. And I see Good Old Games mentioned - I haven't used them yet but I have a higher opinion of them still, so I'd like to get it off their service.

AFAIK, the Pinball Arcade games don't exist in non-DRM'd form. No GOG releases. The only retail releases are FarSight's Gottlieb and Williams Collections.

I am not aware of a PC release yet anyway (there is a Mac release though, available in the Mac app store.)

In case anyone cares, the Pro Pinball kickstarter didn't succeed, it didn't even reach 50%.

The Star Trek TNG kickstarter made it, though.

Not really surprising, 400,000 was a little overambitious :?

But I think this doesn't mean it won't come out at all, they just need to find other sources for funding.
