Famicom Recommendations
Re: Famicom Recommendations
I refered to the games by their PAL titles just because that's the versions I have/will be playing but I'm aware of what they're called originally. I don't mind the PAL versions for some of these games and in a few cases I prefer them. Particularly I just can't play the first NR because I'm used to Shadow Warriors which has an altered jump arc. It's fairly negligable for a standard playthrough but if you look at a speed run you'll see jumps that can't be made in NR. But the point is, it feels really different when you've played Shadow Warriors as much as I have. NGIII will be the first thing I get once I get a US NES.

Has anyone mentioned Bio Miracle Bokette Upa? That's a pretty fun game.

Re: Famicom Recommendations
Ok, so right now I am going through an NES kick. Never really gave the platform much of a chance before but I am finding that there are a bunch of great games. This thread has been a big help but I'm also interested in stuff that made it to the west. I am familiar with most of the best-known games. A few games I discovered recently and really enjoyed: Fire & Ice, Kick Master, Over Horizon, GI Joe, Gumshoe, Bucky O Hare, Felix the Cat, Hi no Tori, Cosmo Police Galivan, Conquest of the Crystal Palace, Gimmick, Little Samson, Batman etc. etc. List as many lesser-known NES/Famicom games as you can that are good that I have not played yet. The winner gets a mystery prize. gogogo

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Arumana no Kiseki is better than that coin-op Konami game with similar mechanics.
