No Roo, you need to stick it. There comes a time in every boy's life where he must cast of the controller of his youth and embrace the controller of an adult. Besides you can shmup with a keyboard, which is pretty damn queer, so you should have no problem getting the hang of a stick.

Yes yes yes yes play with a stick. I have tried a couple different ones and I can notice a definite difference between them, so you need to try a few before you find one you're comfortable with. Different game types, grips and play styles all have different requirements for controls.

Plus these days pads tend to destroy my thumb ligaments after a very short amount of play time, sticks are way more comfortable.

UPDATE: We've changed this to Sunday October 14th from noon.

I was thinking of doing another one of these Friday October 12th from ~6pm like last time. That's the Friday following the Thanksgiving long weekend. Anyone else up for this?

The 14th would work for me I think. I get off late enough that I'd have to rush to Waterloo after work or simply go in a few hours earlier to arrive in a timely fashion on Fridays, so I'm cool with Sunday.

He's got a pretty massive collection (basically all of Cave's XBox 360 releases including Mushi HD if I recall) so I don't think you need to bring any extra games.
