So i just tried outputting stereo from the CPS2, and i just wet myself.

It's a bit disorienting having all the firing sounds come from the left speaker, but the overall experience is sooooo COOL

Actually, I'm more inclined to a "never sell what you get"-mentality considering my arcade stuff. It's hard to come by, thus why should I sell what I've found?

yeah, I'm the same, when it comes to arcade titles, I'm never letting these go.

To be honest, if money wasn't an issue, I'd go vert all the way. All the great cave games, toaplan games, etc.

I just cant afford to spend several hundred dollars on a single pcb, and there are SO many great affordable hori games. (all the MVS stuff, all the CPS2 stuff). So the cab is gonna stay hori until I buy a second cab for vert stuff.

I use my supergun and a rotatable VGA monitor to play my vert boards. (raiden II, YAY!)

On the topic of Mars Matrix, I can't believe I've gone this long without playing it. It is so amazing, and the way that everything is controlled via 1 button, it really makes you get into the rhythm of it.

Yep, MM exists as a single layer black CPS2 board as well. Interesting how Capcom and Takumi decided to go with a single button to pull off all those different tasks -- trying to achieve minimalism with a shmup title and they succeeded in spades. Can't top that.

Playing the original CPS2 version of MM compared to the later released DC port is quite something. Of course, Capcom went the extra mile with even more MM goodies to check out giving players more bonus content to gloss over. Plus the fact that the CPS2 MM can be countered-stopped & the DC port fixes that notable issue easily.
