How 2 do lolz
Whatever I'm doing, I always get crappier as I go because of the seemingly inevitable negative effect of failure on my psyche. Games are my main focus here, I suppose. I don't know where to begin looking for a solution. This probably affects lots of people, but we usually don't realize it.
Dampening/eliminating the effects of failure on performance
Re: Dampening/eliminating the effects of failure on performa
What works for me is to stop playing the moment I start to feel frustrated. When that happens, I lose control of the game, my execution nosedives and I can't really make strategies because my judgment is clouded by anger.
So, as soon as I feel frustration, I step back, go eat something or do something else, and come back later. I know I won't get anywhere in that state, and I'll probably end up lowering my level no matter how many hours I dedicate to a game that way.

^ What he said. Very common in games requiring precise skills.
I remember replicating KOF combos on the first or second try. Happy, I then try to replicate every time, the successes then becoming further and further apart until I can't remember how the heck I did it in the first place.
Same deal for shmups, just walk away and unlearn what you have learned.

Always outnumbered, never outgunned - No zuo no die
