Hrm, now what exactly is it? :?:
Someone though it would be a good idea to make an NES-alike cart and box for his F-Zero GX GameCube game.

A bit misguided, but at least he's not asking $$$$ for ZOMG RARE ONE OF A KIND

It's the idea of someone being nostalgic for NES boxes that gets me. "GC cases are ugly!" Yeah, practically all Western releases of Japanese games are ugly one way or another, the NES was no exception.

oh well, hopefully it dies down in the next few years. In the mean time, I'm just gonna keep selling my nes/snes games to make a killer profit :D
See, I wish I cared about profit, because I've had opportunities to make some over the years, but unfortunately once something enters the collection, it stays there. Some of which are still sitting sealed because they're terrible game I on;y bought for completions sake. Or dups I guess.

Anyone need a third-party AC adapter for their NES? Here's one you can get for only $50,000:

And it's graded too. Surely that makes it all worthwhile.

I wonder if it's a pain in the ass to disconnect from a NES like Tengen's own-brand cartridges. Not that this particular adaptor will ever see the light of day...

Yeah, that AC pack reaches a whole new level of foolishness.

Goddammit, I may as well stop collecting older games. This shit is getting out of hand. I missed a good deal on MUSHA once and I know I'll never hold it in my hands now. :( I'd be a good father, even. Take it for walks and all that.

You made someone happy. Is it foolish to make a person happy? ;)

It's the US-version of Musha that's gotten so expensive, because it's one of the least common Genesis titles. Japanese copies of MUSHA go for about $100, iirc.

Now really is a terrible time to start collecting old games; almost everything that's slightly uncommon/desirable seems to be 2-5X as expensive now as it was 5 years ago.

This is Cannon Dancer / Osman. The price is crazy especially considering they were selling unopened kits directly from Michel about five years ago. Damn, I wish I had money back then

Bare boards I think are $250-300 these days; complete kit probably isn't worth more than $500?

That Kitty guy sells a lot of boots and sketchy stuff, hence people's reluctance to pay full price.

Haha, guy trying to sell repro Recca for $375 as "SUPER RARE": http://www.ebay.com/itm/261115567241

I couldn't help myself and sent him a message:
undamned wrote:If you weren't aware, this game was Japan only and never released in a full size cartridge. This is a (albeit nice) reproduction. You should mention that in your description so people know what they are bidding on.
cincyboy5710 wrote:It was also made as a NES cartridege too!!
undamned wrote:If by "made" you mean by hobbyists/pirates, then yes. There was never an officially released Recca outside of Japan. Ever.
cincyboy5710 wrote:Well another "unlicensed company" made the NES version, because of the box and instructions.. Also Recca was an "Unlicensed company" too!!! It says it all in the link I provided!!!
undamned wrote:Did you read the article you linked to? Very first words: "Naxat Soft." That is the official publisher. Also, Recca is not the company. That is the title of the game officially released by Naxat Soft. With the information you have now, you are intentionally trying to rip people off by selling a bootleg game for official game prices. Have fun.
cincyboy5710 wrote:Its an official game... so get over it and MOVE ON!!
Feel free to report this goof's auction! :D
