I guess Mother Hawk had to pick up a lot of side jobs here and there after she finished her stint in Darius II. Poor gal; it's a tough world out there.
oh, weird. i was doing some digging on this one's history lately. there's taito stuff in it because it originally was a taito game, but for some reason late in development it was dropped and instead picked up by IGS who released it with a different title and main character.
later on there's a fishlike boss that really looks like something from a darius game, but it doesn't seem to be a direct cameo by any one of them in particular.

I was sold on this until I saw the silly shark face. The Hamburger Helper hand and "BOSS" just add that much more class!
This might've been an OK idea if it was intended as just a boss rush game...but the lacking backgrounds during those stages really makes you wonder otherwise. Sad this one didn't get finished properly (at least it doesn't look like they implemented everything Taito would likely have; the actual stages look like a good start though).
Mother hawk boss is around 2:50 in that video. It also looks dumb with the big, cartoony and nonfunctional "eyes" painted on.
I have a pirate copy of Robocco Wars. Recently there was a complete cartridge for over 100 bucks on ebay, but I refused to cave in for such a high figure.....

Just for what it's worth, this is not the same IGS that made the PGM. This is Information Global Service, a Japanese company.
