Greetings. As the topic says, I just want people to post their retro / general gaming finds here. I don't really mean internet finds, but I guess they can go here too. It's always a nice feeling to rescue a classic that's laying in someone's pile of junk. Today I scored an SNES R-Type III for 10 bucks, and a mint SNES Raiden Trad for 5. Little while back a Space Megaforce, and Megaman X2 / X3.
Man, from June 2004 to April 2005, I acquired like 150 NES/Genesis/SNES/GB games combined for a little under $40-$50. This guy at an old game store just stopped caring about prices and gave them to me for chicken scratch.
"Hey, how much for these?"
"Hmm, all three complete Shinobi games on the Genesis, a complete Bible Adventures, Captain Novolin and Rex Ronan for the SNES, Castlevania II fo the Game Boy, Kid Icarus, complete Steel Empire and Thunder Force II...uh, 3 bucks."
Good times, my man. Good times. Searching in the wild's a lot more satisfying than eBay.

Wow, great find LoneSage. Like BulletMagnet mentioned, the wild for game hunting's a *lot* smaller than it used to be. It's still there though. I usually do my game hunting at flea markets on weekends when I have the chance. Actually, I saw a pretty mint Saturn Strikers 1945 II today. Man I wanted to buy that, but didn't have the 40 bucks to spare hehe. Perhaps another day.

Argh, I've been searching for that one. It seems impossible to find around me, and usually I've been able to find plenty of borderline-rarities in the wild here.
I did pick up a second copy of the Castlevania: Simon's Quest Tiger Handheld for $2 at Goodwill last week.
On Saturday, I found a bag of some Atari 2600 games for 3 dollars at a yard sale. Some I already had, but the bag included some fairly uncommon games like Ghostbusters, Summer Games, and California Games. The Atari 2600 ports of Summer Games and California games are very impressive considering the hardware they are on.
A few years ago I found an Atari 2600 with loads of sticks, paddles and 30 games just sitting in a box at my dads house. I dont remember playing any of it when I was a kid.

Speaking of 2600, I found one in the box a couple weeks back with all the paperwork etc. Almost looks like new old stock hehe. Had two 2600 consoles already, but since it was my first console, I had to snag it.
Person at work is going to sell me a complete first run copy of Xenogears for $7 CAD tomorrow. It's not one of those super valuable games, but I think it's a pretty good price.
Last summer, I rescued a very nice 2600 Jr. with power supply from my wife's uncle. It had been sitting out on a breezeway, buried under 15 years of caked-on dust. I cleaned it up, discovered that the protective plastic on the aluminum strip had never been removed, and underneath was factory-new aluminum.
Two years ago, I was cleaning out my shed and found a mysterious backpack full of 2600 games, sticks and paddles, and one lone SMS controller. I think the bag may have belonged to a former roommate from years past, and got mixed in with our stuff and lost when we moved in 1997. Among the games were Solaris, Galaxian, Asteroids and Frogger.

Argghhh!!
to be fair though i knew about the damage, as i bought it in store. at the time though, it was a label damaged $9 musha now, or a rather mint $35-$40 musha later. i chose the cheap now option, cause i wanted to play the mother.
I found out that the Solomon's Club GB I got at an EB a few days ago for $4.99 is the UK version. It's interesting how imports occasionally turn up at US game stores. One time, I saw the European Wario Land 3 GBC at a gamestop. I didn't get it becuase I have the US version, though.

Don't worry, I understand. But I had to put an end to this (Arukado's voice):
But, if you notice, it has a label peel on cartridge. Still, I think an ebay bin at 20 GBP is as low as I've seen. Even the US release is getting expensive...
btw, I already reached the final boss, but he kicked my ass!
