I have found since you can change the roms on this board.

Meaning every board has the potential to be english or BLACK LABEL.

I am having roms burned so I can share the love.

Now this is good news, especially since I'm getting my DOJ board in a couple weeks.

any clue if the english is legit or a hack? not that i really care for it.

Agreed...

It was said Cosmicco had Black Label for $500 but they were marked as "bootleg".

Black Label is not that different. There is a lot of myth regarding it.

I honestly don't get it

When ud dumped the English ROM's from Feveron, everybody was thankful that we could now play the English version.

Now when someone is offering to dump the English version of DDP3 all we get is worries that "bootlegs" are going to be sold.

The platform that the game runs on has not been bootlegged i.e. copied or duplicated. The hardware is heavily encrypted. Some people claim to have it running but there is an MCU which controls the bullets IIRC and that is protected. The program code itself is encrypted.

So what people could sell on eBay is an English version of DDP3. Big deal, the hardware is legit it's just the version. If you're worried about it being a "region conversion" ask if the metal box is sealed or if it's not ask for a picture of the EPROM label.
