lol well we already know. There isn't one.

btw, we've known about Inbachi since May, players just weren't sure how to trigger it until recently.

If for some bizzaro reason there IS a second loop, it would have even more prohibitive entry requirements than Muchi Muchi Pork! Not exactly a paradigm of good game design.

To be frank, loops in arcade games are a throwback to a time when games had no real scoring systems. Now they do, loops are just an archaic throwback. You want hard? Then pick hard mode.

It has been confirmed officially? AFAIK, it's just a supposition.

This is almost borderline trolling in a way. MAYBE there is another boss you can trigger even harder than Inbachi, or maybe there is a code to play with Uo Poko cat. WHO THE FUCK KNOWS?

Haha, nice. Too bad it's only for Windows Phone. Cave should make a parody shmup of their stuff. They have a massive backlog anyway. Something that just takes the piss out of every shmup they ever did and featuring every ship they made for them, plus a few more. Now that would be fun.

That's kind of already what DDP Maximum is.

It does not have any Galuda stuff for example, right? Or Mushi? Or Akai Katana.

Anyway I am not the kind of person to piss away money on a device to play one game. I do not even have an iPhone (or any smartphone for that matter)

Not as far as I know, but the consensus among Japanese players is there isn't one. If Cave is specifying how to reach the real true final boss, I imagine they would at least suggest there's a loop first. But maybe not! As was said earlier, if there is a loop, it would have the most heinous requirements yet. But how many Cave games have the TLB's before the loop? (DOJ DL is one, but I think this is a bit of an exception).

I would love to be proven wrong. A Donpachi without a loop feels a bit off to me.

It does have the unlockable Orchid ship from Akai Katana, which is very useful to get higher scores and hit counter in later stages of DDP Maximum.

As you said earlier, didn't you know about InBachi in May? they would be releasing something the general comunity knows that exist... If a second loop haven't been unlocked, they wouldn't spoil all of the people who are looking for it. At least not until a year...

BTW, who said InBachi is the True Final Boss? who specified that it is the True Final Boss?

Have you seen those videos? You really think they would make a TLB which is even MORE ridiculously hard?
NTSC-J wrote:But how many Cave games have the TLB's before the loop? (DOJ DL is one, but I think this is a bit of an exception).
Deathlabel has no loop. And if you mean Black Label, that has no TLB before the loop either.

What are you basing this on? I can't recall a time when Cave waited an entire year before revealing hidden stuff on a game. Usually they'll wait a few months for the initial hype to die down until revealing more stuff to get people interested again, but a full year? Mushi's Ultra mode and DFK's Strong ship type, for example, were announced earlier than that.

btw, I saw a guy trigger Inbachi today. He did a whole lot better at her than either of the guys did in the two videos posted so far, making it to the final pattern with a spare life. Initially it seemed like Inbachi would give the top players something to chew on for at least a while, but I think someone will clear it in within the next couple of weeks (assuming someone hasn't already).

Wouldn't that mean they've beaten the world record? (Unless they were on Expert, which would be something else of note)

Not necessarily. The current record is 33 billion, so an Inbachi clear (with a 15 billion bonus for clearing the boss and 1 billion for at least the one ship you clear it with) would require 17 billion scored between the stages and end bonuses. The player I watched had 11 billion going into the fight, killed the first form for 5 billion and ended his credit with 16 and change.

Ah, my bad. I was recalling that MON video, which only has the 2nd loop. I thought that was all. Been a while since I had my PS2 hooked up.

I sort of hope that when they port this to the 360 they include an arrange mode where if you break your chain even once during a run it's gameover and your xbox formats itself.

Games where you just die or lose your score are too forgiving.
To go "full-Plank" - colloquial - To experience disproportionate levels of frustration as a result of resistance to completing a task. Those who go "full-Plank" very rarely recover.

Wasn't that Armored Core? Which deleted your safegame if you did not manage to eject in case your mech blew up?

That would be Steel Battalion/Tekki on Xbox. It's pretty much impossible to not eject in time unless you fell asleep or something, but too many mission failures will also spell the end of your file's progress for good.

Does anyone know if/when Inbachi's character profile is going to be updated on the Cave website? I can't really tell if her character design is any different from regular lolibachi's.

I watched a player get Inbachi down to her final pattern this evening, but no clear. I bet the guys at Ebisen have beaten it by now.
