I was just wondering how many other Shmups posters have long hair. I've had my hair long since i was 13 so that's 11 years. It's gone through many different lengths and colors but this blondish color is my natural state. Lets post pics of our manes and see who wins the first annual Shmups best mane competition!

Ok, so i'm just bored out of my freakin' gourd!

I just cut off a few inches of mine. Wanderer or Matt can comment on how scraggly it was. It's presentable again now, but still slightly long. I am no longer able to do a ponytail.

Well, you just have to right click and choose 'show picture' - someone said that Deviantart doesn't allow hotlinking. I think it's cool to keep it that way though so that people with slower connections don't have to wait for the pics to load unless they want too.

This is truly an utterly pointless thread so it's probably for the better.

Nice locks. Mine weren't quite that long, but close. They weren't one length either. To be honest, most of it was that I don't like people cutting my hair that I don't know, so I got a trim once when I went home to visit my parents, by my barber back when I was a youngster (my father still goes there) and then last week when I went back to Tokyo.

I had a mullet until I was like 22sh, hair was about 1/3-1/2 way down my back. I still have my college id to proove it though I'd never post it on the internet. The guys at work would love to get a hold of it because they know about it.

Crew cut now.

I cut all my hair off back in January. I'd wanted long hair for ages and spent 2 years growing it only to realise that my thick, curly hair just wouldnt work long.

I had long hair since 1993 (about a foot longer than circuitface's), but got it all chopped off a few months ago, and I couldn't be happier. Short hair rules...so much easier to manage, just run your hand through it and you're gtg. When I got it cut, I felt like I got paroled

I can say with absolute certainty that I will keep short hair for the rest of my life.

Too true. My hair has been long most of my life but I got it cut short last year (my avatar pic was taken shortly after). Now it's down to my shoulders again and pissing me off. I need to cut it.

I do have long hair. I've been using it for 3 years, and I really enjoy it. At one point it was REAL long, but I now try to keep it at a reasonable size.

I have long hair, too. No mullet, I just let the stuff grow. I've received six haircuts in the past ten years, all of them for the sake of interviewing. Each time I cut it, I wonder if it will be my last chance to grow it out... I've been mortally afraid of going bald since I was 13, when my uncle declared that I would have a bald spot by the time I was 18. He bet my brother $100 that it would happen, but he conveniently forgot about the wager during the intervening years.

It hasn't happened yet (I'm about 30), but I'm still waaaay worried about it. My definitely balding brother doesn't sympathize at all. He doesn't understand that his hair loss only reinforces my fear!

At any rate, long hair isn't as useful now as it was during the 90s. The only women who blatantly hit on me nowadays are usually 10-15 years older than me...

Another here. Used to be halfway down my back and dyed black, now just past shoulder-length, and fucked up colour wise. My new GF has a fondness for bleaching, dying it it and generally fucking around, and I don't care enough to argue. Light brown (ish) at the moment, but going for something darker tonight I think.

I grew it long because I had really bad skin as a teen and felt more comfortable when I could hide behind something. And now, simply because I can't be arsed with the fucking smalltalk that I have to make when I go for a haircut. No I haven't been on holiday this year, yea I am getting pissed this weekend, now SHUT THE FUCK UP. My GF Tracy's a trained hardresser though, just can't sit still long enough to have anything different done.

I only get hit on by drunken scottsdale whoores who stumble into my station at night...

In the other hand, women hit on me much more in the last 3 years , while I used long hair than the rest of my entire life.

I was rockin the Kentucky waterfall back in 7th grade, it was badass back then.

Back in June I shaved my head completely for the first time, bald as bald can get because I pretty much wanted to see the shape of my head. Content now, I've let it grown out, and without combs to influence its style, I've got an awesome Igon (Ghostbusters!) look to me when I wear my glasses.

The picture I posted of me a few months back where I had shaggy hair but it was proper is my favorite style of hair still.
