Help me identify SNES raw sync cable?
Help me identify SNES raw sync cable?
Im unsure if any of these cables are a raw sync snes scart lead? Pictures are from top and then bottom???...

Re: Help me identify SNES raw sync cable?
It's impossible to tell from those pictures..... SCART sync is SCART sync - it's where the sync wire attaches to in the console that counts.
Easiest way is to complete a continuity test between the YELLOW wire on your SCART end and your SNES AV connector end of the cable. Let us know which pin it goes to on the SNES AV plug and we can tell your whether your cables are composite sync or not.

You can test the cables on a Scart socket which can't do RGB (most secondary scart ports on TVs). If you get a composite video signal, the cables uses video for sync. If you don't get a picture, it's raw sync.

That was a bit of "outside the box" thinking!!Fudoh wrote:You can test the cables on a Scart socket which can't do RGB (most secondary scart ports on TVs). If you get a composite video signal, the cables uses video for sync. If you don't get a picture, it's raw sync.
