Blast City Convergence Issues

Post by larrabee »

The arrival of the Blast City was bitter sweet. It has some major convergence issues.

So it looks like I need some monitor work. I tried the "home made" convergence strip from here and it didn't help much: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthrea ... nce-strips

Anyone that is good with monitors able to help? Thanks, I really appreciate it.

In the mean time I emailed the seller, I was calm in the email but I am pretty pissed. For $1240 (after shipping to MA) I don't want to get a monitor that is all messed up.

I know I said earlier to you that it looked bad, but after seeing these pics I'm feeling like this isn't such a big deal (and you probably can fix it with a proper convergence strip..) I know, spending a lot on something like a cab, we want it perfect, but truth is these things have been sent halfway around the planet and been hammered on for 15 years. The satisfaction of owning a cab comes from the experience while playing on it, not about ogling over a perfect on screen image.

People pay that much on cabs with serious burn-in, messed up geometry, AND convergence issues. Almost all Blasts have it to varying degrees. Good luck with the restore!
