Futari, itself, is riddled with bullet patterns that are based on a ton of aimed shots with light to medium spam elsewhere. Moreso than a lot of other shmups, the patterns are mostly solved by "tap dodge now and...............now". Very similar to Subterranean Animism. Ultra simply tightens up the patterns so that if you don't follow a precise tap dodging pattern, you either bomb or die.

It's not terribly difficult, at the end of the day (until larsa), but you have to have everything heavily memorized to get anywhere.
Dimahoo is a fun game.

Play and get a SDOJ copy for free would be a good idea, sorry which I can't play this now.
:(
Btw, I guess you should start this in oct 01 until jan 01.

except some of us don't have J360.

Not that it matters for me cause I completely hate Ultra and won't be bothering with it.

Good luck! Please post some videos during your progress, always enjoy watching some Ultra.
I would but I can't record from my Xbox. I can find somebody to record a clear or high score, but it would be unreasonable to request them to record and upload progress markers.

Also Futari is region free? Unless we're talking about something else.

I was referring to SDOJ probably being region locked.

Though admittedly, we don't know for sure yet.

Still, I'll be focusing on 2 other games that I wish to clear. But good luck to anyone that tries this.

As one of this forum's most beloved and popular contributers I will also treat the winner to a Q&A session with me, where they can ask me any questions they like.
To go "full-Plank" - colloquial - To experience disproportionate levels of frustration as a result of resistance to completing a task. Those who go "full-Plank" very rarely recover.

I'll be playing Ultra on and off for a while to see if I can get decent enough to compete (will probably fail).

So, who else finds it obnoxious that stage 1 ultra is WAY harder than stage 2?
