What's the story on the bomberman statue?

Don't really know. One day I just decided to look for bomberman figures and ran into that guy. I actually thought he'd be tiny, like the size of an eraser top. Was pleasantly surprised that he's a little taller than a can of soda.

No I actually just updated it the other day to 4.21 ... so that ship has sailed.

It's ok though I'm gonna try to stay legit for the PS3.

Just pick up a pair of Pelican PS2 to PS3 Adapters and you're good to go (if you want to use dedicated PS2 gaming controllers on your PS3 console setup). Plus, they have absolutely no lag which is ace in my book. Works like a charm on my old-school fat 60GB HDD endowed PS3 console. They first appeared at retail back in early May of 2007. I bought one when they first appeared on the market and bought a second-hand one as a backup for a mere $2.99 USD at the local Gamestop. Are certainly worth their weight in gold.

The Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 and it's counterpart, the Hori RAP SA variant utilize a wired USB cable to interface with a PS3. Hori made a wireless PS3 joystick as well but it'd been discountinued since then.

Alright good to know. I'm going to try my EMS USB2 first, as it's supposed to work with PS3, but I'll keep an eye out for the Pelican ones as well.
If you are really cheap and can't get that Pelican adapter, those $4 clear blue PS2->PC converter boxes [like this one] work flawlessly on the PS3 as well, even has the right button mapping [it's detected as a generic USB joypad, which the PS3 accepts and will use, but most of the time the button mapping is screwed up with most random USB pads].
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Got in post a very, very good condition CIB Bucky O'Hare for the Famicom. Seriously, that thing could've been timewarped here straight from a gaming store's shelf in 1992. Even the contacts are squeaky clean. I thought I had all the FC games I wanted already, but guess there's still a few left.

Also picked up a Xbox 360 Speed Wheel because I heard good things about it.

I went a bit crazy over the last several weeks...

(Not pictured are some new s-video cables for the SNES and some other cable type stuffs)

The blurry SNES titles are Phalanx (which has the weirdest, left-field-type-shit artwork on it's label...) and Imperium. Imperium being my current favorite...reminds me of a Compile \ Naxat type shooter. maybe it is and I just have not really investigated. Good shit regardless)

I also picked up 20+ loose Genesis\Megadrive carts recently too. The real standout games IMHO are the following:

Wonder Boy in Monster World
Grind Stormer\V-V (TOAPLAN FOREVER)
Syd of Valis
Valis and Valis III
Phelios
SoR 2
Ghouls and Ghosts

That's the cream off the top.

Till next time.....

(Oh and if I see another sexy ass x68000 on here I'm going to go into a fit of jealous rage. I want one so bad. I swear that if I could afford and locate one , upon plugging it in, I would morph into my long-lost 8-year-old past-self and die of happiness and nostalgia! The x68k vibe takes me back to my early PC days. My FIRST was a brand new PCjr...goddamn the old days.....)

Technocop is to videogames what GWAR is to music.

You really only play either for one reason. (exploding bodies)

Some stuff that came in the mail yesterday. Aquapazza 2d fighting game for PS3, SCART to BNC RGBs cable and a K1 GBA (arguably the best GBA clone to date thus far). Also swung by Book Off yesterday during lunch and picked up Gundam Musou 2 PS2 and Superlite series Strikers 1945 II for PS1.

Won this auction yesterday. Custom of Kid Icarus. Only officially available on disk in Japan.

Seem to be joining the club on this one. It still doesn't have quite the library of native games I would like to see, but at least it seems to be getting there, and in the meantime I still have quite a bit of DS stuff.

Those RGB modded Famicoms are pure sex. As James Gordon said in Batman Begins, "I gotta get me one of those". Too bad they go for 30,000円 plus on Yahoo Japan.

I was lucky to get the Star Fox capsule toy on the first try. The other two are based off of the monster in Hideaki Anno's short film that's being shown at the Tokyo Museum of Modern Art. Basically it's a tribute to Ultraman, Godzilla, and other sci-fi movies that used miniatures before CG became the norm. Very cool stuff. Basically they built a miniature city-scape to film the short and you can walk through this set at the museum and take pictures.

Totally worth trying out.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
