I dunno man. Black Label Maniac scoring is easy enough to do without milking bosses for extends. You can get the second extend by stage 3 without boss milking or intense route planning.

Edit* maybe I'm confusing maniac with god, but either way, both extends are within reach without boss milking.

I didn't mean the bosses, just with the other Cave games I played the extends happen naturally even if you don't actually make any attempt to score. With BL:Maniac I actually put some effort in with stage 1 and 2 to boost my score up so that I could get that second extend in the middle of the fifth stage.

You may want to avoid Dai Fukkatsu.

Thank you for saying this. I don't know why, but I get into a seething rage every time I see someone say tsuujou instead of omote.

You still have comments that say Tsujou instead of Omote.

Someone please explain what Omote means then and why Tsuujou is so wrong.

Sounds like a good term to describe the normal loop as opposed to the harder one with stricter requirements.

Omote and Ura basically mean Front and Back (maybe more like main and alternate). It's correct because that's what cave named it? I'm assuming.

Got my Maniac clear of Mushi Futari 1.5 finally. I decided to start getting 'serious' about it a week ago and in that time I have put in a few runs of practice every other day and now it's cleared.

Deaths were... the mean ass moth at the end of Stage 4, a pretty fail hit by a large enemy in stage 5, Larsa's 2nd phase (really fail) and Larsa's final phase on the horrifying first attack of said phase. That attack gives me nightmares.

Feels nice to have this thing done.

DFK Tsuujou 2-ALL with B-S this time.
A-S is much harder than other ships, I'll still do that one next.
Oh, and btw, SDOJ EX-scoring is not broken compared to DFK.

I CLEARED THE FIRST LOOP OF DOJ. BIGGEST RUSH! I WANT TO SCREAM I'M SO PUMPED BUT IT'S ALMOST 2AM SO I'M GOING TO JUST TYPE IN ALL CAPS. FUCK!

I didn't get to see the second loop which was kind of a bummer since I actually had a spare life in stock. If I were to guess I'd say I've spent about 80-90 hours of play to get this clear. To be honest, don't see myself ever going for the second loop given how spent I feel after this, but who cares about that right now anyway!

Also, I should note that there was a moment on the Stage 4 boss when I lost a life with literally no red visible in the boss's life bar. Could feel steam coming out of my ears. Made slaying the last level all the more satisfying.

whateva whateva I call it Tsuujou all I want

I had a rather big rush of "I DID IT" feels after I got my two recent Hell ALL! clears in BWR and Green Wind. You might say I got a 1-all, even though neither of those games have seconds loops, and therefore calling it a 1-all makes no god damn sense.

You might even say I got a TSUUJOU 1-ALL OF HELL MODE DIFFICULTY, AMIRITE GAIZ??

Congrats! First time 1-Alling DOJ is definitely a landmark in the shmup resume :)
Was it original or Black Label? Which ship and pilot did you use?
My first 1-All was Type B Shotia. Using Type A Exy is more fun though.

Congrats, I know the feeling, nothing quite like it. Try not to break anything!

And 80 - 90 hrs, that's quite a workout (WL was it?) but gotta appreciate your dedication to Cave's crème de la crème.

I used A-Type Exy on Black Label.

In retrospect 80-90 hours is definitely pushing it. Probs about 50 hours. In any case, lots and lots of runs for sure.
