Salamander 2 I know had this - the hiscore screens had both player ships appear onscreen for a minute or so on each level and you could play the attract screens for free.

Come to think of it, Cybattler also lets you play the attract mode.

The Class of 1981 rerelease of Galaga lets you do it, but it's a known bug that crashes the game if you finish the level in time.

Thats a cool idea for the attract mode, though I wonder how often it was used. I also like the one we PC-Engine FX! talked about sometime back, where the attract mode replayed a portion of the recent hi-scorer's run. It would be a good way to enhance the communal feeling at a game center when people weren't around to observe.

If I'm reading it right,

Half of Inbachi appearance conditions announced:
- No-miss, no-bomb (autobomb counts)
- All bee items on all stages

Shot & laser: Two more conditions TBA.
Expert: Two other conditions TBA.

What could the conditions be? Rank and score?

This line about the no miss/no bomb requirement:

Does it just refer to the the stage 5 boss (named 幸龍)?

Has anyone tried typing the last boss's name in http://www.cave.co.jp/gameonline/saidai ... bossname>/ ? I've seen information leaked because the company made a page active before linking it, maybe that's possible here? (zatsuza doesn't work :()

That says "must no-miss no-bomb until Kouryuu is destroyed". So no, not just the final boss.

Tracks 16 to 25 in the 2nd disc are arrange versions of the original DoDonPachi music.

That song specifically is for the 2nd loop of DoDonPachi, you know, the old one from 1997.

For Auto-Bomb ON, No-miss&No-Bomb till destroying stage5 Boss, triggering Auto-Bomb is considered bombing.
For Auto-Bomb OFF, Simply No-miss&No-Bomb
(Could be very hard to do since perfecting the whole game to S5Boss means a RANK over 35)

All stages perfecting bee items is required.

Shot/Laser's bomb count is different from EX.

That hidden boss reads "Inbachi".

Oh dear.

So after the unoriginal, derivitive loli final boss with atrocious annoying voice acting and recycled patterns, we get this?

Am I the only one who thought that every pattern that boss used in phase 1 looked like a touhou pattern? I swear 1 of them looked like it was lifted straight from Route B of Imperishable Night's final boss Last Word patterns.

The final pattern itself is so ridiculous it's not even really worth mentioning, primarily because of the amount of life the boss has during phase 2, if nothing else. I'm not really suprised though, these days CAVE only seem capable of just flooding the screen with bullets for their final patterns (DFK).
