Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?

I've read some people's opinion of the album. They say it's really different. I'm afraid to listen to it. Please lord don't let this band start sucking too. Have any of you guys heard it (that where fans of the first four albums)?

Say it doesn't suck. Please?

only heard one song but its definetly "harder" and heavier than before.. more death than power metal...

ed: its great btw...
ed2: if you like bodom just check out the other bands on spinefarm, they all sound pretty much the same

It's alright... I'll really have to listen to it more before I start throwing judgements out, but I just have this feeling that they're going to be taking an "In Flames" turn for the worst. You probably have the same feeling.

I listened to 3 tracks off of it and so far nothing bad has happened. It does sound way more riff heavy with less solos and keyboards but it still sounds like Bodom. So far...

I'm gonna kill myself if they turn out as bad as In Flames.

Hah! I'm listening to their Jester Race album right now and am still thoroughly satisfied... I just cover my eyes when I pass by the "Reroute to Remain" and "Soundtrack to your Escape" albums on my shelf. What you can't see can't hurt you....

And as far as "Are you Dead Yet" goes, I agree that there needs to be more keyboard (which was really apparent in their earlier stuff), and the vocals aren't as deep or clean. Though you are right, it's still fucking Bodom. "Silent Night, Bodom Night" will always hold a special place in my heart.

hehe when linkin park cancelled a show here in sweden, in flames took their place.. apropriateley all the band members wore tshirts that said "linkin flames"..
