I'm not talking Yahoo! Japan bidding or Rakutan orders. I've got those covered. I'm talking physical shopping in the game-focused areas for stuff that doesn't normally show up online.
Any reasonable services out there?
Proxy shopping services (Japan)?
Re: Proxy shopping services (Japan)?
As in someone who lives there? Like Gaijinpunch or myself?
Keep in mind that retail is usually quite a bit more than what auctions go for - Especially in the tourist trap known as Akihabara. I'm in America at the moment, but I'll be back in Tokyo on Friday. I plan on doing a bit of shopping over the weekend so let me know what you're looking for and I may be able to grab a few items for you.

Yeah, what rancor said. I haven't gone to the shops in a while, but basically unless you are hardcore, you will never find anything in a shop you won't find online, and it will cost more. The only upside are the surprises you get which are few and far between these days.
For example, obscure items (flyers, old mags, old PC stuff) is extremely rare in shops, but show up online somewhat regularly.
