Recent haul. Now I have to figure out how to upgrade my custom psp firmware. I totally forgot how to do all that stuff.

Obviously I can't post any links, but I just recently got a 3000 and it was dead easy. Only downside is it can't be done "permanently", but as long as you don't pull the battery it basically sticks. And even then you just run a "fast recovery" program and it's done again.

If you have an older model you can install the CFW permanently, though I suppose there is a slight risk of bricking.

Not really; I'm decent friends with him, so I asked if he had an X68000 that he would be willing to get rid of, and he told me that one :D

Totally jealous of the x68000's in this thread. Rob scores like three of 'em and I can't find ONE...grrrr

Anyway, I scored this this weekend:

Picked up some cheap PSP games from eBay. There was a third as well (Every Extend Extra), but the seller appears to have fucked off with my $7. I've got a case open but whatever, it's a pretty minor amount of money. Just annoying.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

The old console bug has surely bitten me, here's the recent pickups:

Image

Image

And I picked up a bunch of games, most notably:

Genesis
Grind Stormer \ V-V
Phelios
Elemental Master
Valis
Valis III
Chiki Chiki Boys!
Mutant Fighter Mazin
and the previously posted complete-in-box-minty Gunstar Heroes

SNES
Gradius III
Super R-Type
Darius Twin
Brain Lord
Out of this World
Phalanx
Imperium (really good game, surprisingly!)

Feeling pretty good with covering most of the 16-bit era, but the GLARING OMISSION is obviously a TURBODUO-R....

Once I get my hands on a nice clean TurboDuo-R I'll be very happy....

Anybody? :)

***EDIT***

Whoops! Forgot about THIS GUY:

The NES Advantage is definitely an awesome weapon to have against some of those punishingly difficult NES games.

Now you need a Super Advantage for the SNES

My first run with the Advantage got me through Stage 6 of Zanac without losing a single ship!
Sky Shark, Star Soldier and Recca became much more manageable as well!

I forgot what it was like to have that kind of power. I felt like I was 10 years old again!

What a hoot!

Is that a modern reissue of the watch? (It looks like this might be your watch! :) ) Nice art deco looks on that one.

Nope, it's a genuine old watch, that photo is the actual one I have. It's not as perfect as the photos look, but depends on how the light catches it.

And here's a comparison of 3DS XL and DSi XL.
