Scart switch/splitter - Marmitek 236 - experiences?

Post by mchay »

I've been looking for a good solution for me to switch between my RGB scart consoles and different TV's, without having to move cables around.
Right now I have a Hama scart switcher, which functions nicely but with the need to move cables when I want to use another TV.

Because of this I went on the lookout for another solution for my retro console setup and found the Marmitek 236 to be a possible candidate.
It supports the 4 RGB scart inputs that I need right now, in combination with 2 outputs, and I wanted to hear if anyone had any experiences with this box?

The price sounds reasonable and their description sounds great, but does this perform as one would hope it would?

Maybe someone tried this specific product, or any other simmilar product from their portfolio, and could chime in with some pro/cons of their hardware.

As another solution I was looking for and amplified 2-way scart splitter/amp to put in my current setup with the HAMA switchbox. But having it all in one box and remote controlled so I don't have to get up from my chair sounds very appealing 8)

Thanks, I should have searched for prior threads regarding this

Oh well, I think I will have to try out the 2-way amped scart splitter then.
