Version 1.5 - XBox 360 - Original
BKR - 213,606,954 - ALL (0L 0B) - Palm Normal

laserdragon ftw, seriously though I like his rapid shot damage, shame focused shot sucks

Much improved over first 1cc. I've also gotta practise getting the lanterns, I know I missed at least two of 'em from what I saw. Several silly, avoidable deaths (late stage 4, early stage 5), made it to Larsa with 2L1B, did reasonably well against her at least (for me anyways, hah).

Edit: Bleh, slight improvement.

Ver. 1.5 - XBox360 - Original
BKR - 220,873,289 - ALL (0L 1B) - Palm Normal

I'm finding he's too weak; bosses are shifting to phases I can't deal with and have to bomb in sections I'd be able to NMNB. First death was last phase of stage 4 boss, ran out of bombs. Only death with bombs in stock was a silly one against Larsa near the end; tried to sneak through a too-tight gap, if I'd bombed I coulda beaten her with a life in stock. Still, handy to play a weaker shot type as it forces me to improve on dodging, but I think for score I'm gonna bite the bullet and go with PA or RN.

Black Label - 360 - God
spineshark - 706,495,355 - Stage 2 - Palm

Why is this table so sad? I find Palm to be a lot easier/more fun to play correctly on God because he doesn't have options that like to tag onto random objects all over the screen. First night of serious scoring work, but I'm definitely going to keep going on this one.

And speaking of, are there any other freely available replays at a similar or higher level to the sst badnests one on the 360 leaderboards? If the DVD is still really good I'd consider picking that up for that matter, even though I don't particularly care about DSMBL.

I hadn't played since before my 360 broke last fall, and this isn't a mode I'd paid a whole lot of attention to before since I kept getting overwhelmed so fast (I could last long enough get like 500m by bombing aggressively, lol). Got itching again when people started talking about the game again, so thanks.

Ok wow now that I've seen this that is kind of a big deal hahaha. Thanks again.

Black Label (360) - God
spineshark - 1,183,469,575 - Stage 3 (boss) - Palm

Hadn't died yet so I just bombed through the stage 2 boss. I've been practicing too conservatively on the beginning of stage 3, though, so I'm only reliably getting ~200m on the first half and a little more after. Really need to hold out longer for most of those big cancels.

This game is awesome.

Also:
Black Label (360) - Maniac
spineshark - 494,268,317 - Stage 5 - Palm

Good way to decompress. Also, my old score on this table was unbelievably horrible.

Yeah, sorry about that. Please continue to let me know if you guys see any discrepancies. Updating these boards makes me dizzy.

Arrange - Original
PlatinumHawke - 3,088,799,001 - Lx4

Going to have to practice not getting the power-ups and meter charging during bosses. I'm satisfied with the score, but I think I can get another couple hundred mill out of that 4th stage.

Black Label- 360- Original - Palm
Enigma- 557,097,187 - Stage 5 Boss

The good:

1. I beat my Reco score.

2. I actually lost my last life right as I grabbed the stage 5 1-up, causing the max power item to appear, but the credit got to continue because I grabbed the 1-up.

The bad:

1. Those Stage 3 and 4 deaths.
2. Not a clear
3. All those points lost on the stage 3 and 4 deaths.

Nice to see people playing Palm in Original. I'll beat my Reco score with him someday but right now I've got Ultra to deal with.

I like the higher challenge with him. You don't have Reco's higher potential spread or homing, so you have to know the stages better to survive. And you have to actually point blank with him instead of being able to get the options to do it. I don't think I'd ever be able to get comfortable with some of the stuff, but I'd like to at least get something decent.

I also should start trying to learn God mode survival again. I'm so out of practice I can't even get past stage 2 now.

Is there some trick to getting more items from the stage 1 boss when you point blank it near the start of its second phase? The amount I get is just so inconsistent. One time I got quite a bit and ended up around 68 million leaving stage 1, but other times I'm barely over 60 or sometimes somewhere in between. I'm also absolutely terrible with the midboss point blanking, but then I'm not even getting to it with the optimal amount of counter. So instead of entering with almost ready to switch to laser, I'm entering it almost ready to switch to shot, which means I just end up having to play it safer at that point.

Yeah, using Reco effectively is really just a matter of knowing where your options need to be at what time and then not dying. With Palm though, it seems you really gotta play more aggressively and be more precise. So I'm not just interested in Palm because he has higher scoring potential but because he also seems to require more skill to use effectively.

Sorry, I have no clue. Even a look at my old replay shows me botching that part. All I can really say is to rush the middle of his head and pray.

It's probably tied to how long you sit in his "too close" zone. He'll shoot very fast spreads at you if you're too close, and he will start attempting to shoot sooner than the bullet canceling period ends. He probably shoots sooner and/or more frequently the higher your rank is. So it's a matter of higher rank, staying in his hot spot as long as possible, and getting there ASAP.

v1.5 -Arcade Mode (360 port) - Maniac - Ab Parm
Kiken - 458,399,373 - Stage 5 Boss

Everything was looking good until the stage 3 boss.. then the entire run just fell to pieces.

By the way, I'm listed twice on the scoreboard.

A fairly good run, although, I did mess up scoring in several spots. I'll post it up on Youtube in a bit.

Hey guys,

Unfortunately I no longer have the time to maintain scoreboards, and I hate to keep you guys waiting on my impossible schedule, so I will be passing this board on.

Please let me know if you'd like to take over.

Thanks.

I personally prefer to have it all in one place. Also I think having it capped at 20 is a good idea as it encourages people to not just post 1st credit scores or whatever without really leaving any decent scores off. To me the boards are basically perfect like they are now.

If there's a cap, either leave it as is, or make it require at least a certain score like at least the second extend or something.(Though I could understand not requiring second extend for Maniac/Ultra)
