Senko No Ronde Petition - All or Nothing

Post by KBZ »

Dreamcast-Scene and Dream-Storming are working together on the Senko No Ronde Petition starting on Sept 19th. The way things are going, this may be the last petition we'll ever see here at DCS.

For over a year now we've been assured by a message from a directing manager at G.rev that Senko No Ronde would be release for Dreamcast in late 2005. After some time passed, people were beginning to wonder whether or not the Game was coming.

Now it seems it's been announced for Xbox 360, and our hopes are growing thin. No one is sure anymore if G.rev will be releasing the title on DC, and there has been no success to contact them on the matter.

So with great expectations, we bring you the "SENKO NO RONDE DREAMCAST PETITION". We've petitioned with success to G.rev before, and it can happen again. I think everyone will agree that even if Senko No Ronde is the last title to come out on DC, it will be worth it. So let's go all out this time, cause it's all or nothing.

Let's bring this title home!

My prediction: if this petition is successful we will then have huge threads of people complaining about shitty single player AI and how they don't have anyone to play the game with.

I have just sent my petition.

I hope the final game would make use of the DC link cable which allow vs. play using two DC Console.

Buzzo, focus on one thing at a time. A petition for 2 games of which one isn't even finished yet is pointless.

That said I'll sign in on the Senko petition. DC cable support would be awesome. BTW, online Senko petition can be signed here:

G.Rev have been informed about the petition. I have signed and contacted them about it. More people shoud do this! :)

Mail G.Rev's website for demanding a DC port at the following address:

under defeat has already been released in arcades if I'm not mistaken.

but we'll stick to the one petition for now. Can't go back now[/quote]

by the way, the online petition is mainly meant for webmasters to put up their site for support. The petition to be taken seriously is the paper one.

here's why:
439. Major Nelson Buy this for Xbox 360 instead. Get Xbox Live too.
438. J Allard I'm with Bill. Buy a 360 if you wan't it. Releasing this game on Dreamcast is like putting for download for free.
437. Aaron Mracna The more DC releases, the better.
436. Bill Gates Buy a 360 if you truely are an fan. You guys just wan't it for Dreamcast so you can download it for free. RIP Dreamcast
good to see shmups.com up there

hmm, you might be right (I am not sure anymore).

I respectfully disagree about the online petition eing meant for webmasters mainly. There's no mention of this anywhere. Good to see so many sites supporting a possible DC port though.

I agree about a paper petition probaby bringing in more weight in the end though. I have signed online and a paper signature is going by mail to Germany tommorow morning. :D

PS: did the Melty Blood petition have a good turn out numbers wise?

Haven't heard any numbers from DCS Europe of America yet.

DCS America had about 500 around a month ago.

that right there is the DC section for this month's issue of SEGA press. (Thanks to Yakumo)

the games are Ring Age and L-Shitai Ne!

whether ring age ever gets finished is anothing thing all together, but be aware that sega hasn't dropped all support, and there will still be new releases in the future.

peace,

King.

I say let it come out for the Xbox 360, after seeing the game in action in Akihabara it's perfectly suited for online play. While a DC version would be nice, Senko is primarily a versus game. If you've got nobody to play it with, the game is rendered kinda pointless. It's time to let the DC go and get with the times.

Those games were officially canceled months ago. That release list is not updated, unlike the on-line list. Sega has stopped their support for the DC, hence any petition for a game from any other company is not serious. But hey.

actualy, the situation seems to be quite the opposite. this was printed for October, THIS month. Would seem odd if they would say a game is coming out when it isn't.

Ring age has been cancelled and announced many times. Don't know much about L shitaine either, but that's besides the point.

I just hope that when G.Rev signed that deal with Microsoft to make Senko no Ronde for the Xbox 360 they weren't forced to cancel porting it over to the Dreamcast, which I hear is what happened to the US version of Shenmue II.

Actually it's quite likely that Microsoft have tied them into an exclusives contract. I'll mirror what a few people have already said - it's a multiplayer game - it really deserves network play, making the 360 the natural choice (although the standard Xbox could very likely handle it just fine..)
