Disney XD's Tron: Uprising series...

Finally checked all the current six episodes of the new Tron: Uprising series in 1080p format. Really does tell the many adventures/side stories that take place between after what happens in the original Tron movie and before events that take place in the 2010 Tron Legacy film. Even the BGM featured in the TL film is nicely done for this TU series...fits in like a well-worn glove. The Bit character from the classic Tron flick makes a tiny special apperance also.

Episode five even has a special appearance of Iso character, Quorra, as well. Features those legendary light cycles, albeit a slightly different earlier version than what's shown in the TL film. Makes me wonder just how many cycles that the events in TU take place in. Could it be in the year 1989? Even Kevin Flynn's iconic redesigned white colored light cycle is a highlight/focal point in an episode.

Sure'd be nice to buy the entire TU series on Blu-Ray for posterity whenever Disney decides to release it for the home video market.

Some subtle insider nods/tributes towards The Matrix, Tron, and other famous sci-fi films are sprinkled in some episodes just for fun along with some insider creator visual jokes/nods as well. Takes a sharp eye to spot them "on the fly" though -- careful frame-by-frame analysis will reveal more information indeed.

Plenty of cool new Tron vehicles to marvel at (in the greater Tron universe than is shown/glimpsed at in both Tron movies). What else is new, vehicle-wise, in the TU universe/timeline?
