Made it to the final boss, but because of my insistence on using wolfmameplus, I got killed by unknown layer 0f.

Wish I had more time to dedicate to this.

The layer error is only at the bottom of the screen and disappears after the boss fight is over. It's not that bad to deal with.

Out of curiosity, how much have you played this game this week? :p

I haven't really kept track because I'm not using a MAME that keeps track, but I'd say a little less than 10hrs maybe.

Never mind, the Phantom II sucks, the bomb just doesn't clear enough. Harrier's bomb has a second startup where you can get hit Raiden-style so I'm not that fond of it either. Stealth would be cool if it were faster, but close-range supershot sucks since it's too slow to plant it on enemies effectively. The Raptor's damage is a bit iffy, but everything else about it is nice.
