Re: Strikers 1945
Still playing this one.
Just got a NMNB first loop for the first time. That 1-5 turretwall is pure hell. Any tips how to consistently get through it? Mills maybe?

Try crushing your craft into enemy fliers, power down while decreasing the power rank. 1 level down, bullets will be much slower. Otherwise greeting from 1-5 Boss is really tight.Plasmo wrote:Still playing this one.

After destroying those turrets, you can recover your firepower by collecting that P item carried by those missiles before the boss.
The newer version of Chinese Leaderboard is here! Check it out :>

Re: Strikers 1945
That's quite a good idea! Haven't thought about that before, thanks a lot!
My success rate of getting through the wall without using any bombs is around 20% now. The attack pattern seems to be kinda random.

1,667,000 - Plasmo - 2-7 - Bf-109 - Arcade

What the fuck just happened. This was the run I was hoping for and it came out of nowhere! I hadn't played Strikers 45 for ten days and this was my first credit of the evening.
Highlights:
-NMNB first loop (no power down before stage 1-5 boss)
-No miss up to 2-6 boss (no kidding)
-Reached 2-7 boss
It all fell apart in 2-7, which I haven't really put any practice into yet. Unfortunately I got the wrong boss for 2-7. If I had triggered that damn scorpion, it would've been 2-8 guaranteed.

Joining in for the fun... or whatever. Not that I really like this game, but the first loop clear is close enough to go on.

Just to let you guys know: I'm still at it and here comes a hefty 3k improvement!
I even had one spare life in stock when I reached the 2-7 boss. Of course I had to die twice without using any of my bombs. Fuck me.

One thing for sure, 2013 will be my year:
1. I will get my first Psikyo 2-ALL!
2. Mills' score will fall!

1,819,200 - Plasmo - 2-8 (ALL) - Bf-109 - Arcade

-No miss up to 2-5.
-Two deaths at the boss.
-Played very risky through the next stages using close to no bombs at all.
-Lost my last extra life at the second to last form of the last boss and bombed the hell out of the last form.
-Screaming and laughing in victory, I remain undefeated for the first time. The machine has lost against the man.

Re: Strikers 1945
Very, very nice. Strikers 1945 has always been a game I've wanted to 1-loop, if not clear. I'm sure I'm quite a ways off, but it's always motivating to see something like this

Re: Strikers 1945
At last, and even before 2013! Congrats Plasmo, you totally deserved this!
I still can't understand how someone can pick the first Strikers for their first Psikyo 2-ALL, but I guess that makes it even better. Outstanding job!
Seems like I owe you the promised case of beer. Just tell me which brand you like and I'll get you something on our next meet.
