Hey guys, quick question.
I just bought a Sega CD off eBay with a blown fuse (it was listed as working...*facepalm*) Luckily I know how to fix this. However, I wanted to ask this here since I'm not getting that much of a direct answer from the rest of the interwebs: Can I use a resistor as a fuse? I know the two components are very similar...Not sure why it wouldn't work but I def want to ask first.

Re: Sega CD Blown Fuse
Erm... nope
... or at least you shouldn't. These do not perform the same tasks. Very simply; a fuse is essentially supposed to be a switch, resistor is more like a funnel. You essentially could replace any fuse with a piece of wire/metal but, again, you shouldn't.
Why not simply replace the fuse? What fuse is this?

Re: Sega CD Blown Fuse
Oh, getting a fuse is no big deal...I just have resistors lying around and I'm lazy. It's 2.5 amp I believe. Thanks for answering.
