Is Larsa too hard?

I was just wondering if I was the only one who thought that Larsa was too hard on original mode?

I mean at high rank her attacks are mind numbingly bullshit to deal with. I'd much rather fight her on Maniac any day than on original. On maniac her attacks don't consist of infinity speed bullets and dice rolls.

I don't think her difficulty is as jarring as Garra in Ra.de, especially compared to the rest of the game. She does have a certain attack in phase 2 that always gets me though. I think its a nice difficulty for the last boss.

With the port, she is pretty easy to practise, if you don't mind hearing Reco/Palm and Larsa bitch at each other every time.

It definitely builds confidence for some of the easier patterns, which should show you where to place each bomb. With the amount of resources you can get to her with, shouldn't be a problem with some practise.

I think she is a bit disproportionately hard for how the rest of the game plays out. This is for Original 1.5 I'm assuming.

Reason she is so much easier in Black Label is because her life bar actually goes down.

Same here, even though Arrange/Novice modes are bearable, I still can't handle Larsa normally. (1.5 and BL modes.)

All of her attacks can be dodged if you practice enough. Granted, some are taxing or less taxing depending on what type you use. You have to use your bombs wisely because some of the patterns are quite dangerous to risk fully no-missing. The last thing you want is blowing 30mil of your score because you didn't identify your bomb situations.

Evem the best players in the world have to bom through Larsa as her attacks are likely to randomly just punch you in the face. stage 1 attack 3 comes to mind. Compared to the rest of the boss fights in that game she is just boring and random.

The best players don't have to bomb Larsa, they sometimes bomb because they can't be arsed to put a really good run on the line by being stingy with bombs for a comparatively minimal increase in the final score.

But that's why Original 1.5 Larsa IS easy... bombs take down a lot of her health.
Maniac you need a lot more bombs to spam your way through. Also you can't tell me that her final phase on Maniac is easier than anything she spews at you on original!!

Larsa's fittingly difficult for a final boss, without the insane difficulty jump the aforementioned Ms. Gaara is. The most jarring difficulty jump I've seen so far is DDP2:BS's stage 5 - shit gets serious in the 2nd half of the stage there in a hurry from loleasyNMNB to the point where I'm guaranteed to dump 3-4 bombs in the space of about a minute. The bosses are all pretty lame though, but if you 1CC the game the TLB takes a similar massive WTF difficulty leap relative to the game's other bosses (although it's no Hibachi either considering it's a TLB) and makes you sorely wish you got a few point extends in the game. I will record a 1cc of this game eventually, damn it~

This reminded me of Batsugun. 2nd boss seemed harder than anything else in the game.

I feel that Jupiter is harder than anything, but Madzella is a close second. still love that game though

If you are trying to milk Jupiter, its harder, but I found the fight to be easier than Madzilla when just going for the kill.

Both of them are harder than the last boss though.

All 3 of Hellfire's stage 3 bosses. I swear they make up almost half the game's difficulty alone, and it's already a steep learning curve.

The worst WORST most disproportionately difficult boss is without a doubt 3-5 in Nightmark in the Dark.

It's actually TWO bosses, at the same time, spamming mobs and flying around. And a horrible stage layout.

It's so out of whack with the other 4 bosses. I've 1CC'd the game lots of times now, and still this boss will seriously fuck up my runs 40 or 50% of the time.

also, if those voices get annoying, BECAUSE THEY DO, you can turn them off if you're running the port.
