History Behind Parodius (HBSSB-esque video project)

Post by IndyGo »

I've been doing a project similar to Crappy Capture Device's SSB-video project History Behind Smash Bros, titled History Pehind Parodius.

My goal with this project is to cover most of the history behind:

- Characters
(I'll explain their weapon sets, and sometimes their cosmetic things, etc. I've looked through all the weapons' origins on every character of this series.)

-Stages.
(Depending how much elements it has, the most largest project I can do. There's the references and shoutouts to take an account into, but luckily I have some people assisting in this. Thanks AceNoctali!)

- Music
(Showing the classical music and game music references from Gradius + other Konami-games)

So far I've done:
- Gimmicks.
(Like the bells, the Oshaberi in Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius which is from Power Pro-Kun-series, and sometimes the team attacks in Sexy Parodius.)

So far done:
-Enemies
(might be explained along the stages, but the recurring ones are explained separately)

- Bosses.
(Where their attacks might come from. Some do sport extra attacks and there's also original or quest bosses from other Konami-games as well.)

I've already told Crappy Capture Device about this one and he has praised it well. At the moment I'm working on Twinbee's video coverring his weapon set and what it consists from. Hope you wish me luck for this one!

Neat idea.
This sounds like a ton of work, going from the music playlists alone.
Props if you pull this off with completeness.

True that, but I'm positive that I'll succeed with this. (-lvl-)^ Thanks a lot BTW.

I got myself Sony Vegas Pro 10 and seeing how much more I can do with it compared to more mediocre Videopad-movie editor, thought of trying to get myself familiarized with it's functions for my project. So I made another music-coverring video.

Island Of Pirates Music - History Pehind Parodius DA!

The humor for these videos is intentional and don't necessarily reflect my core sense of humor (for instance, I don't really like to crack indecent jokes.)

But do tell me what ya think of this. I tried to emphasize more on timing so hopefully the text doesn't disappear too quickly and such like in previous videos.

This sounds like a ridiculously huge undertaking, but more power too you if you can make it happen. I'll try to give the posted videos a watch when I have a break in my day.

I know it's true. But I've managed to research most of the elements that is necessary for this project so far already and have some support from some of my long-time friends (Like AceNoctali who will help me with Tokimeki-references). So I'm quite certain that I can pull this off and I'm pretty sure it WON'T go unnoticed for people who'll stumble on this project (at least after I'll bring even more videos.)

But thanks a lot for support! (-lvl-)^

Help needed a bit here! I've been trying to tackle getting some footage about acguiring the Minibell-powerup (for 3-Way-weapon) from Twinbee Arcade, but so far I had no luck finding it. Should I try looking to other versions of this game for easier finding of this powerup?

I've been halting my project for some while due being busy (and partially due this) but I try to get back on track hopefully soon.

I've managed to find out the source for the Minibell-power up (after tons of playing of Twinbee).

Also a new video which covers the music behind the infamous Bunny Warehouse-level from Sexy Parodius.

Thanks for your concern! I actually had worked on this wiki page few years ago ( under name KonaKonaKaabisteru, updating or adding in music references from Gokujyo Parodius, Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius and Sexy Parodius), and use this as a catalog to choose my music coverups.
