I remove 'em with a cheap Ayoue hot air station if I'm going to reuse them. If not, removal depends on the chip and my fancy: Hot air (Ayoue), hot iron (Pace), or with a small set of diagonal cutters (works well on 62256 SRAMs).
Chip Quik is a bit pricey and too much work for my taste.
