Likewise. :D

I'm happy to do it at mine. The only thing worth bearing in mind is that my room is quite small so it would be a bit of a squeeze. I reckon five to seven people at max. The good news is that I have three awesome lag-free screens ranging from 23-40 inches and can cover games, sticks and screens for most gaming needs.

Good to see you.

If we're going to do a summer/Olympic meet someone should start trying to organise it... and if it's going to be at someone's who actually has gaming stuff rather than at mine then that person should not be me. JUST SAYING.
Ok, probably worth mentioning, my parents are on holiday for a month, wanting to avoid the Olympics for some reason, and that means, if it suits folks, I'm sure George will be happy to have everyone over to engage in actual Olympic events in the house (like running up and down stairs, ladder climbing, egg and spoon races.)

And we can play Track & Field on the projector.

Oh wow track and field. I hope we have lots of controllers with very robust buttons, if I remember right track and field is very controller intensive.

This seems like an awesome idea to be honest.

No show from me. Have had a cold for a few days, pretty sure I'm not cotagious anymore but still, would be pissed off if I infected anyone. :x

I think we should decide what day to have the Olympics meet and then we can figure out the rest - there's not much time left. So I made this poll, choose what days you would want to do it and we'll decide democratically:

The gods of the coin chute blessed me with 9 credits for 1 quid on the Leo cab yesterday. It must have been a sign of divine blessing, because I got the 1CC as well, despite losing nearly all my lives on the Stage 4 boss.

Also a Video Game Olympics Meet sounds awesome, poll signed.

So the banners should be fine from last year really.

We have pinged a few e-mails back and forth, you and included with your chi...fuck wrong e-mail address for you :(

Okay that's amended and you should have a new e-mail in there now. Sorry about that.

If anyone wants to make new banners they totally can, but I personally have zero experience with making stuff graphically so I can't do it myself.

Sorry about the e-mail thing bro! You're our secret weapon!!

I found your superplay really useful for building a route through the last two stages Smraedis, especially the bit with the jumping mechs just before the final boss!

I'll be down tomorrow evening - should arrive around 6, and then this weekend I'm off to visit friends and family in Cumbria until the 6th next month, which will also conveniently mean that I'll miss the Olympic madness.

Firstly, congrats on the R-Type LEO 1CC :D . You join a London club of 1. Only my friend ARM completed that one back in the day.
& Secondly - Going to Cumbria to miss the "Olympic madness", a wise idea. At least in the interests of not tempting fate. It'll all probably go fine as Skykid says, but its best to be safe than sorry.
EDIT:- 3rd Aug. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvnNX5hY ... ature=plcp
Seems like the 6th is not a day to be in London. The 11th looks a bit ominous too.
I deleted my warning thread a month ago because no-one was prepared to pay attention. In my view, it is wise not to tempt fate.

But there's an excellent selection of fighting games! (It just needs Vampire Savior to be brought back)

My irrelevant opinion is there needs to be a DDP/DOJ back in Casino (I favor the latter, of course). Shackle Sapz to the cab if a DFK suddenly materializes.

Don't trust me! Two trains in a row cancelled. Right now I'm stuck an hour from the arcade with about 40 mins until my next train...

Not looking good for me! And as I have a new phone, I've temporarily lost all my contacts. Can anybody text me hzt's number?

Congrats! Did that guy look any good at Tekken? Everybody I've seen come down to Casino with girlfriends in tow was pretty bad at the games.

Speaking of fighting games, there will be a 25th Street Fighter tournament in London on September 29/30 during the Eurogamer show, featuring ST, 3S, SF4 and that other game. It should be free to enter but you need to put down a deposit, and I expect to drag down some people down there. (I'll arrive in London a week before myself)

I'd keep an eye on Capcom's page instead really... not sure how it's going to work exactly with that silly expo and Capcom isn't releasing info. http://www.streetfighter25.com/en/tournaments/
