How? Konami Lady's attacks are telegraphed in a painfully obvious fashion, and give you tons of time to get out of the way. Emon really just requires you to circle around the boss a couple times when required. WinBee is fast, unpredictable, and has the aforementioned visually confusing attack pattern. She's also got shield drones that most weapons have difficulty penetrating.

You can take out WinBee before she really does anything. Check out my video posted above to see.

Dunno if this was already posted, but here's something I just inadvertently discovered: on the character select and loading screens, the cursor can be dragged around with the right stick, and you can poke at the girls' jiggly bits (or down below, if you're feeling truly naughty) to watch them react. I'm sure this will keep someone out there endlessly amused.

God damn, I still cannot beat WinBee. My eyes must be screwed up, I can never distinguish the solid parts of the bridge.

Well, I think about the cursor thing, I guess it was posted a long while back or something.

Secondly, yeah, can't tell sometimes where to actually go when you fight Winbee.

And lastly, I guess this game is already done with DLC and whatever, so now, onto something else I guess. But it will have its moments though.

Yeah, and IIRC the first game even had an achievement for doing this an excessive amount of times.

The Otomedius G stick from Hori has a touchscreen that lets you do the groping in the absence of the right thumbstick.

5g - Touch The Angels 5 times.
57g - Touch The Angels 57 times.
573g - Touch The Angels 573 times.

Emon 5's reaction to being poked is fucking priceless.

In Otomedius X you can also poke their heads which make them do cute things.

Been playing this one a bit. It's on the cheap now. Pretty fun, I guess I'm okay with doing the story mode repeatedly to level up the characters? Is my "score" for my first credit nullified on credit feed? Hmm.

Yes, your "Score" goes to 0 if you continue, problem is, the scoring for the game is just aesthetic anyway. The only point for score anyway is the Score Attack mode, which is only useful.

Story Mode is not a good idea to level up characters, only in Multiplay with changed setting though like Easy with 99 loops on the same stage over and over on level 1.

The only instance of DLC not being bad is when it's a FREE reward for people who purchased the game, and when it was created as an afterthought (=not on the game disc).
Selling bits and parts that should be free unlockables is buttrape.
TRUTH 8)

Basically, the disc I bought is half the game. I only paid 10 bucks for it, so it's not a total loss... although I'd trade it for a case of beer, now that I think about it, but I'd be ripping that person off.

Two major newsbites:

- European release with a limited edition confirmed. TBA release date as of now. It already has a PEGI rating (12+).
(EDIT: This was a mistake by GameFAQs)

- Coming out for Games on Demand on the US Marketplace tomorrow. It's not even on GoD in Japan yet.

Is the Euro limited edition going to be a proper release, with everything out the box playable on a console with no net connection required, or another DLC assraping?

If it's all in the box I might buy it, looks kinda interesting. If any of it is shipped out to DLC then it's a no sale; the content is finished at this point.

Otomedius X has DLC out the ass, but none of it is on-disc. I guess that fits your criteria. The DLC characters do appear in the opening and ending videos though.

I don't know of any retail 360 games that require a constant connection for single-player. Only XBLIG is that way.

Is there a source for the Euro release?
The DLC isn't surprising, since there's a DLC soundtrack for each playable character, plus DLC characters, plus DLC stages. It'd be all too easy to put it on disc.

Gah, I feel like an idiot.

False alarm, guys. Turns out the supposed Euro version was one of many incorrect pieces of release data that went out with the last GameFAQs update. Sorry for getting anyone's hopes up. I'll edit my post.

It is definitely coming to GoD here tomorrow, at least.

Nothing is on-disc. There's free "library" data that allows you to use the content in online multiplayer with people who have it, but you still have to download it.

Nope, no retail games on the 360 AFAIK doesn't need a constant connection to live, you can still play them offline...

And for DLC you say, all of it total in US $ is 8320MSP/$104.

Darn false alarm, got other peoples hopes up for nothing for the PAL region, lol.

Ok, I won't be buying it then.

There's no excuse for not putting the whole thing on the disc. I've said before, I'm not buying into this temporary culture thing where half the game is DLC, which is only going to be around for however long the servers stay up, and can't be used if I take the disc to other people's places to play. The extra content has less actual value, no physical value, and yet costs more than most games.

Amazing how many companies don't want me to buy their products these days... 99% sure now this is the last generation of consoles I'll actually bother to buy / support, the number of games with strings attached is just too great.

I probably won't get the GOD release of the US version, but if they release the Japanese version online, I'll get that. I like not moving discs in and out of my console.

Also of that 104 dollars of DLC, only like 20 bucks of it is actually actively functional. Most of it is just music packs. Why do people whine at the total cost of DLC in Otomedius games? Otomedius G was just as bad except only 3 things (totaling all of 10 dollars, big fucking whup) were actually useful. Grow up guys.

That's internet communication for you.
There's no excuse for not putting the whole thing on the disc.
Actually, there is. It's the only way to make money off of used sales. Kind of a necessary evil.

When you actually take a look at what DLC in Otomedius X actually adds to the gameplay, it becomes a lot more reasonable. $10 for Kokoro and Strarf together, $18 for all three EX stages. You can pick and choose what you want out of that selection. It's pretty substantial content. The two characters have completely unique weapon loadouts/option behaviors. And the stages are totally different from any included on-disc, and feature the best level design and challenge the game has to offer. Everything else is cosmetic, or music that you can find on Youtube.

I think of the game as the Gradius equivalent of R-Type Final. Not up to par with the classics, but the large amount of customization and unlockables compensates somewhat by providing an interesting RPG/simulation experience. They're the Gran Turismos of shmups: you pick a ship, customize it to your liking, and test how well it performs on the different "tracks."

I resent that remark, lol, take your shit somewhere else, not here...

And yeah, about that DLC bravado, most of it and expensively is the Music Tracks, and the Stages, but like Op-I said, Pick and Choose, now for what I wonder, since there's no listing on how much this will cost digitally, I still suspect the usual $20-30, but hope they don't bullshit like Raiden 4 on Demand and price it for $40 (which is still a ripoff.)

Raiden IV is seriously $40 on GoD? Don't these people have any awareness of how much cheaper NEW boxed copies of their games can be had for?

Yeah, we know, but anyways...

Alright guys, XBL has been updated, low and behold, its a simultaneous release, both the NA and JP versions are On Demand, the NA version for $20 while the JP one is for almost 3000 Yen. Of course Region locks would apply...
