Mushihime-Sama Pcb High score saving

Post by necroscope »

I just bought a Mushihime-Sama Pcb and it doesnt save high scores and has ultra unlocked but all the high score tables are the factory cave ones,at first i thought it was the battery but it seems to be saving the free play setting after powering down,is there anyway to reset this or is my pcb faulty? Thanks.

i should add that i can get the no1 spot on the todays manic high score table which usually gets a no3 place on the all-time manic table but when i reboot the pcb it has not saved, game settings are on normal.

You are looking at "Today's" high score table, not the all time saved table. I forget exactly, but you either hit a button or move the joystick left/right to go through the other tables. Alternatively, you can go into the operator menu and look at the saved scores to confirm there are some already there.

Did you check the high score data in the operator menu to confirm? Just play a game and get a high score to show up on both "Today's" table and all time table, then press test switch to go to operator menu and choose "backup data" and then "ranking display" to confirm its in all time table. Then power down and back up and go into the same operator menu to confirm if the scores are gone.

Also when you boot the PCB, after "CHECKING MEMORY..." msg, you should see "CHECKING EEPROM...". If you see "INITIALIZING EEPROM..." everytime then your eeprom may be bad.

It only saves the *highest* score. So, for instance, if your top score is 30 million at power on and you score 25 million, it won't save the 25 million score. You'd have to score higher than 30 million for it to save.

Also, there's a bug with Maniac scores if you don't have a bugfixed PCB.

With the Maniac mode, if you don't have a bug fixed PCB, the top all-time Maniac score will be saved as the top score on the Ultra mode table.
