Doing a quick search on the forum for Goldrunner and you won't find much discussion about this Atari ST shooter by Steve Bak. Being an Amiga user myself, i still managed to miss it (but then again, amiga version apparently replaced stick control with mouse, which can't be a good thing). Too bad, because the idea of a looping, vertical version of Uridium does sound like my cup of tea.
Anyway, this is surely old news (welcome to 2007), but renowned coder Foxy (GBA Another World, Nebulus, all his releases are worthy a check) released a fully playable port of the game for Gameboy Advance. The scrolling is impressive, the graphics and sounds seem to have been adjusted with great care, and it saves the score too. Overall, I recommend this one to every GBA owner craving from frantic shmup action. We can't have enough of free, portable games with Rob Hubbard music now, can we!
