I've decided I'm also in for the team. Like brendz I'll be gone for a week though, starting with the August long weekend... so, darn, the first week of competition. I'm going camping, and I really shouldn't bring my laptop even though that would let me play. My family will be upset with me if I spend the whole week playing games. Maybe I could get away with telling them it's just in case an emergency comes up at work... ;)

I'm also up for going to the beach. I'm back on my bike and need a good reason to go for a ride this weekend. And you know I never show up before 3 anyhow, so that's not a problem.

Oh, and jonny5, the team captain's only responsibility is to vote on the next game to play within the two days before each week. Somehow I think you can handle that!

I can try and get something going on the PSP. Still trying to sort out how to hack it. I acquired a shitload of games.

I do have a bike, but gotta dig it out of the basement and inflate tires, etc.

If we are going down there, I'm not bringing any swimming stuff .. lol.

And please keep the download talk out of this thread; they are cracking down on that shit on this forum now and I don't want any issues in this thread. :)

Once you have it modded, get rRootage(freeware) for it; pretty much all I played on my PSP. Outrun 2006 coast to coast was pretty badass too.

And it has all the different modes on top of the normal mode; there is a psyvariar mode, ikaruga mode(IIRC) and one other I think, pretty sure it was Gigawing.

Awesome game!

Besides, you got our bikes in the shot. That's practically the same thing.

Biking home was good for me. I'm pretty out of shape, but I (barely) made it!

Holy crap that's a long ride.

My ride home was like 5K and I was exhausted at the end, but there's a pretty big uphill coming up Logan that I underestimated.

Oh also any of the meet regulars, please sign up for STGTGGGTTTTGTGTGTGTGGGGGT. I think we only need 1 more to make the 5 member minimum.

Seems like its just the Windows install, so at some point I'll suck it up and reinstall, but still its a pisser.

You seem to have bad luck with computers. Make sure to give me a nudge when this thing starts, or I will likely forget. It's not in off topic, after all.

I blame my fiancée ... she downloaded some video downloader with a virus and its been all downhill since then.

Maybe you should subscribe to the planning thread? Or you might get PMs since you're captain, I dunno.

Explain the team...and I will probably join once things calm down for me in a week or two. It has been um...kind of crazed. I will elaborate at the next meet I am at :)

Although I noticed in the planning thread all these new kids whining that they want EVERYBODY to submit .inp's for each score!

Fuck dat noise! That's far too much work for my tastes. Hopefully that isn't the case. Bit late in the game to be making stipulations like that.

Fucking MAME kiddies. This place is totally going to hell!

You guys need another member? Can't promise I'll be any good at whatever game's chosen, though. Been busy as hell lately.

Recording in MAME's not that bad but I don't see why they'd make it mandatory to record (thus screwing people playing in a cab, etc). I've been trying to record a 1CC of DDP2 cause the only one on YT's credit feeds and is missing the TLB, but MAME desyncs the recording if you ever have to pause, so basically you have to sit and record it in one go arcade style (and only one extra extend in the entire game, gawd). It's not like the tourney is that serious, it's more about everyone being motivated to improve their personal scores. Cheating ruins the accomplishment anyways.

yaaay drama
