Yeah, yeah - i know it's one of those things that's no big deal to you guys and such but i appreciate the smaller things in life. Too me this is the absolute bomb-diggity. So much so that it'll get me to say 'bomb-diggity' twice. YAY!

That is pretty cool, I'm looking at getting a laptop and if I could get one that had a DVI output on it so I could hook it up to my hdtv that would be awesome. Maybe I should just get a HTPC...

Well i've been playing this thing all day and it makes the vert shmups a hella lot easier. I'd say do whatever you gotta do to make it happen. I'll be smiling for days :)

I have the same TV. It cuts off the edges of the screen on some games, and I haven't found a way to change that (unless the game itself can change the resolution). Batsugun is so much more fun when your ship can disappear offscreen. Also, turning the volume up to more than a whisper causes the speakers to reverberate. Ghettorific.

But it was dirt cheap, TATEably flat, and had 3 A/V inputs. It's enough to get me by, anyway.

Right-click on them and select View Image or whatever. They must not allow hotlinking.

I actually made the moving guy get me one with S-Video to make up for dropping my shit (He was acting like a dick about right off the bat and so i wasn't nice about it). As far as the sound goes - i have mine hooked up to those gawdy stereo speakers you see there. I got them from Wal-Mart around the same time.

I tried to Tate Ikaruga on it once and everything went all purple and green. Gay.

Actually, that's the only nice thing about that TV: I can TATE it and not have to wait too long to turn it back on.

On mine, at least, just:
1.) Turn it off
2.) Rotate
3.) Wait ~30 seconds
4.) Turn it on
5.) Shmup

It's only when I tried waiting an absurdly short time (like 5 seconds) that I got discoloration.

i never tried turning it off first! Why does that make it work? And it does it without any kind of distoring in the colors?

Turning it while powered on will cause changes in the magnetic field and this will cause the spots. Turning it off and after a while on will degauss the set.

Also you can try to get in the service menu to fix the problems of the image not fitting the screen. Be careful though!

Unplug your TV for 4 minutes before rotating, then plug it back in right after you rotate, then turn on & shoot.

This works for me.
SHOOT IT QUICKLY !
