I'm curious how you would compare Darius Twin to Darius Force (Super Nova in the US) for SNES.

Darius Twin and Darius Force/Super Nova are interesting entries in the series.

Each has what the other game lacks. Darius Twin has all the bright colors, atmosphere, music, and fishies that you need in a Darius game, but none of the difficulty.

Super Nova has all of the grueling difficulty and challenging levels, but its presentation is somewhat bland, and its enemy designs (outside of the bosses, which are fantastic) are blase. It's like, all you do is fight tiny gun turrets, the entire game.
At least the music in Super Nova is fantastic - it can proudly stand with some of the other Darius soundtracks, I'd say.

Darius Twin is an abortion not worth talking about. Darius Force on the other hand, stands tall among even the arcade releases. I like that it manages to capture the feel of the original Darius on one screen; I kinda miss the challenge presented by having a low shot count, haha. Also has the most creative design ideas of the entire series, some of which stuck, some of which didn't. (I'd really love to have seen selective game length refined...)
